Corina Bakery

The search is over! I looked everywhere for a bakery for fresh baked challah on Friday's as I just don't seem to have the time anymore to make it myself. Corina's bakery allows for pre-ordering of this bread so by the time I pick it up on Friday afternoon, it is freshly out of the oven and smells wonderful. Thank you!! more

I am thrilled with the service and staff just as much as I am with the great cheese cake, and now they will be making Challah every friday...I am going to be first one thru the door every Friday to get my warm yummy loaf.\r I disagree whole heartedly with Waterflower Tacoma's comments about the staff being rude. That is total nonsense. When you can walk thru the door and have staff welcome you immediately and by name no less it is a great feeling. They know their customer's favourites and have gone out of their way many times to make sure special requests are possible and delivered when and where... For its wonderful selection of cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes and other items, Corina Bakery warrants at least 3.5 to 4.0 stars. I've been the finest to bakeries from Paris to NYC, Frankfurt and Bangkok; so I am comparing Corina against some of the best bakeries on the planet. The presentation can't compare to one of Paris' finest bakeries, but the taste of the cakes and cupcakes easily measures up to the best anywhere. I think Corina Bakery is a better bakery than any in Seattle. However, a lovely bakery should have, at the very least, a decent staff to compliment it. The staff at Corina are some of the most rude, unprofessional, graceless, unhelpful and lazy I have ever seen or encountered. The bratty, early twenty-something girls who ""run"" the cash register and espresso making area treat customers like trash and are probably too self absorbed to think that there is anything wrong with this. How sad. This is a bakery that deserves better than the dreadful staff they are burdened with. Pros: Great cup cakes and cakes. The Red Velvet cake is the best anywhere. Cons: The staff. more
