Don't see the hype... 7/31/2006

Cora's always has ridiculously long lines, for mediocre food. Just don't get it. I'd rather be at Fig Tree or Bread & Porridge. more

I've had just about every item on the Cora's menu - and have been very pleased every time. The omelet is outstanding, I dont know where they get there tomatoes but they are extremely good. The rigatoni w/ meat sauce is awesome. Even the oatmeal is great. It is a little expensive, but if I want to eat and save money, I eat at home. I love how small Cora's is - but I would never go on a Sunday, too crowded. Cora's is great early in the morning with the Times crossword puzzle. This is when the regulars and locals are there and it's not crowded - or mid-week lunch it's very open. Anytime I have a friend in from out of town or I want to have a nice romantic lunch with my girlfriend mid-week - this is the place. Pros: Great Food Cons: High Price more

Another Over-Priced Coffee Shop 4/2/2006

After reading some reviews I thought I would give Cora's a try. I was extremely disappointed. I thought the space was quaint-a nice patio. BUT- The unfriendly service, the uncomfortable chairs and a menu that was just so-so I will not return. The food was cold and the portions small. This all came with a big price? Expensive. The value is not good and the food is stinky. Sorry Cora's maybe get back to the basics. Pros: Nice patio Cons: Service Terrible, Food Expensive, Food not good more

Stopped in here for a coffee to go while on a walk along the beach. Was shocked to learn, once we were rung up, that the coffee (in a paper cup) was $2.75 a cup! It didn't taste like gold! No wonder they can afford the rent. Pros: beachfront Cons: over-priced more

quality in tight quarters 2/24/2005

i love Cora's on a sunny day, i don't love Cora's on a rainy day because there are only two tables for two and a small bar to sit at... and it gets a little crowded. But when its sunny, you are getting fantastic fare, at a reasonable price. I suggest the pancakes, the corn chowder when its a special... i think Cora's a A+ more

Not terrible, but surely not great 6/30/2003

I decided to eat here spur of the moment one Saturday morning, and ended up being disappointed. The service & staff was friendly & attentive, however the food, was another story. I ordered the ""famous"" orange pancakes with blueberries, and was suprised to find that most all of the berries were sour and unripe. The taste of the citrus in the pancake was different but with butter & syrup (homemade) tasted just fine. Maybe I just chose the wrong thing, but that brings up my next point, price. I never expected to pay $10.00 for two pancakes with sour blueberries & a cup of regular coffee - for breakfast on a Sat. morning nonetheless. Will I go back, maybe but not likely. Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly Staff Cons: Expensive, Not for a large group more

Coffee Refill Heaven 2/5/2003

The friendly staff and cozy environment makes up for the mediocre and a bit pricey brunch. The best part of this place is that they will refill your illy coffee up to the brim and even give you a to-go cup if you're nice. more

a great find 7/26/2002

though i never went to the old cora's, i love the new. the food is great, the service is incredibly courteous, and the patio is a wonderful place to sit and linger over a leisurely breakfast. also, the prices (besides the obscenely overpriced juices) are very fair. more

Million Dollar Oj 6/10/2002

I'm always glad to find a new spot for beach-side breakfast but Cora's is more cutesy than quality. The menu suggests fresh flavor with imported meats, cheeses and fresh herbs but falls short after leaving the kitchen. Anyone charging $5 for a small fresh squeezed orange juice in California should cited for robbery. Save the trip (and your money) and buy the 20lb bag of oranges from the guy on the street and have your own million dollar oj for less. Pros: near the beach Cons: overpriced, over hyped more
