DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!! BEWARE!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I LOST MY FAITH IN HUMANITY BECAUSE OF OFFICE STAFF AND MANAGER (HEATHER)\r \r I moved into Coral Point apartments because one of my close friends lived there and I was attending ASU which was easy access with the light rail right there. I had no real problems until move out. I was scheduled to move out at the end of October 2013, therefore I went into the office several times during the month of October to inform them I was vacating my apartment. On October 31st I went into the office to turn in my keys and was then informed of their written cancellation policy. The management told me it was my responsibility to inform them in writing of my intent to vacate and that I had received notification on my door twice. I informed the manager, Heather, that I didn't receive anything on my door and that I had been to the office at least 4 times during the month of October and NO ONE had mentioned a thing about the written proof of intent to vacate even after I clearly stated I wasn't going to renew my lease. I was upset to say the least. The manager, Heather, was completely unhelpful and unwilling to assist me. I had to pay a month to month rent for November as well as supply a written vacancy letter to the office. I did so and turned in my keys at the beginning of November. In December I received a bill from Coral Points for damages. I had to pay for EVERYTHING to be redone although I left the apartment in perfect condition. The apartment complex is currently under remodeling; the office manager stated that I left the carpet in less than desirable conditions although when I moved in it wasn't new carpet. I had to pay for the carpet to be removed and vinyl to be placed in the apartment, an expense the apartment complex was already doing because of the remodel but which I had to pay because the carpet was ""less than desirable"". Furthermore I had to pay for holes in the walls, which were from thumb tacks and nails from pictures and decorations I had in the apartment. The manager again, Heather, informed me that they were noticeable holes that had to be fixed. Basically the office staff along with the manager is completely unhelpful, rude, and gold diggers. I am being charged for remodeling expenses that the apartment was going to do anyways. They are gold diggers. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING LEAVING YOU $1000.00 broke. Also my friend that lived in the apartment complex is also having issues. In the middle of 2013 we were required to supply proof of rental insurance. He did and he gave the proof to the office. The next month he noticed his rent was increased by $50 because of lack of insurance. He again went to the office to find out why he was being charged and was informed the extra charge was because he didn’t have rental insurance. He AGAIN supplied proof and still had to pay the extra $50. The next month he again was charged the $50 for lack of proof of rental insurance. He AGAIN went to the office to find out what was wrong. Heather, the manager, then informed him that his proof of insurance had the wrong name on it. It showed Coral Point Apartments but should have shown the management name instead. This simple typo was the reason he was being charged again $50. My friend then called his insurance company and had them change this title. He again supplied proof and had to pay the $50 fee. My friend is upset of course because he went to the office twice to find out what the problem was and twice was given wrong and misleading information making him responsible for $100 fee for lack of rental insurance. The office staff is completely unintelligent and unknowing of their own policies and procedures that are evident from my friend’s experiences and mine. more

Coral Point is Good. It could be out-standing!!! 4/17/2011

I moved into Coral Point and love it here so much. I do have a couple issues you can read below. The maintenance people do an outstanding job. You can see them outside working and they seem to care about their jobs, which is rare. The grounds are beautiful, watered, well kept and a pleasure to look at. The garbage stations are excellent (except for the stray cats.) The laundry rooms are perfect. The exercise room is clean, there is no machine designed to really work the stomach. I am told they may get another piece of equipment. The security guards at night are wonderful and always polite. When I spoke with Shelly, (who is no longer here) I was very clear, I wanted a pool and hot tub, clean grounds and garbage pick up. I wanted to be near the pool and that took pets. Choosing a place to live via the internet is extremely hard to do. This property makes me feel safe, clean grounds and a COLD pool. Their price was reasonable. The biggest issue I have is fighting to keep the pool heater at a reasonable temperature. There are some of us that are not children anymore and can t handle cold water. A couple weeks ago I asked for the water to be turned up about two degrees. It just had that chill in it. The answer is the company won t let us. Last year I asked for the heat to be turned on in April or May . It was ice cold and yet 100* outside. The answer was the company won t let us. So for almost a month we could not swim. They must see that the pool was empty. No swimmers not even kids. I called the main office in Phoenix and got no help there. So now I am writing to the New York office and every investor I can find in Google, which is quite a few. A lot of people ask me why there's no heat, I guess I am going to have to be the rabble rouser. it's not a job i relish. Any Moron can stick their hand in the water and know it's too cold. My criteria for moving in here was a HEATED pool for my arthritis. If you want the pool heated in the spring months of April and May. Please call Debbie Jameson @ 480-242-2596 They are charging me $40 a month for two 11 year old clean housecats. I have rented in two countries, 5 states and NEVER been charged rent for my cats or dogs. There is always a pet deposit and that s it. I find it appalling to be charged for my pets Month by Month. They are not people or roommates. It s literally a scam. A very expensive scam! I do think a $50 rent hike in this economy was a kick in the teeth. I have also never had more than a $25 rent increase. It feels like all that matters in money. In this economy I would think a cooperation as large as Sentenil could make money and not screw the little guy doing so. A $50 increase in rent is not proportionate at all. more
