DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS!!! BEWARE!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I LOST MY FAITH IN HUMANITY BECAUSE OF OFFICE STAFF AND MANAGER (HEATHER)\r

I moved into Coral Point apartments because one of my close friends lived there and I was attending ASU which was easy access with the light rail right there. I had no real problems until move out. I was scheduled to move out at the end of October 2013, therefore I went into the office several times during the month of October to inform them I was vacating my apartment. On October 31st I went into the office to turn in my keys and was then informed of their written cancellation policy. The management told me it was my responsibility to inform them in writing of my intent to vacate and that I had received notification on my door twice. I informed the manager, Heather, that I didn't receive anything on my door and that I had been to the office at least 4 times during the month of October and NO ONE had mentioned a thing about the written proof of intent to vacate even after I clearly stated I wasn't going to renew my lease. I was upset to say the least. The manager, Heather, was completely unhelpful and unwilling to assist me. I had to pay a month to month rent for November as well as supply a written vacancy letter to the office. I did so and turned in my keys at the beginning of November. In December I received a bill from Coral Points for damages. I had to pay for EVERYTHING to be redone although I left the apartment in perfect condition. The apartment complex is currently under remodeling; the office manager stated that I left the carpet in less than desirable conditions although when I moved in it wasn't new carpet. I had to pay for the carpet to be removed and vinyl to be placed in the apartment, an expense the apartment complex was already doing because of the remodel but which I had to pay because the carpet was ""less than desirable"". Furthermore I had to pay for holes in the walls, which were from thumb tacks and nails from pictures and decorations I had in the apartment. The manager again, Heather, informed me that they were noticeable holes that had to be fixed. Basically the office staff along with the manager is completely unhelpful, rude, and gold diggers. I am being charged for remodeling expenses that the apartment was going to do anyways. They are gold diggers. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING LEAVING YOU $1000.00 broke. Also my friend that lived in the apartment complex is also having issues. In the middle of 2013 we were required to supply proof of rental insurance. He did and he gave the proof to the office. The next month he noticed his rent was increased by $50 because of lack of insurance. He again went to the office to find out why he was being charged and was informed the extra charge was because he didn’t have rental insurance. He AGAIN supplied proof and still had to pay the extra $50. The next month he again was charged the $50 for lack of proof of rental insurance. He AGAIN went to the office to find out what was wrong. Heather, the manager, then informed him that his proof of insurance had the wrong name on it. It showed Coral Point Apartments but should have shown the management name instead. This simple typo was the reason he was being charged again $50. My friend then called his insurance company and had them change this title. He again supplied proof and had to pay the $50 fee. My friend is upset of course because he went to the office twice to find out what the problem was and twice was given wrong and misleading information making him responsible for $100 fee for lack of rental insurance. The office staff is completely unintelligent and unknowing of their own policies and procedures that are evident from my friend’s experiences and mine.
