Good Place for Up to 150 people event 4/29/2011

We held a volunteer thank you luncheon recently. Food was delicious and plentiful, tables were set just as we asked. Decor on serving table and coffee and dessert bar were elegant. Our honored guests commented how fancy the place was and how special it made them feel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and easy access into and around building in and outside.Thank Copper Fields for a great event! more

Beautiful Space - GREAT Price 3/16/2011

Good: Convenient location & easy to find and they have lots of free parking. Also, our community group was on a very limited budget and the owner was so nice and willing to work with us. We had always heard this place was generous with community groups and now we know its not just talk.. Bad: There was NOTHING we didn't like! We liked the food (we had a buffet dinner), the bar (drinks were reasonably priced and the bar area is beautiful) the room setup (we didn't have to do any of the work) and the decorations (the place made us look like we had spent thousands of dollars!. Improvements: Not a single thing.. Other: We appreciated the "little stuff" available (at no extra charge, either) that made our meeting event look so professional - a superb sound system, all the extension cords we needed, easels that we forgot to bring, even extra name tags when we ran out. This place made us look good!. more

Sour Grapes??? 3/16/2011

This is "the other side" of the poor reviews given earlier. DON'T BLAME THE ESTABLISHMENT FOR WHAT HAPPENED! Copper Fields was the good guys at this event. I was one of the bartenders hired to work this wedding and can tell you I have NEVER had to work with a more abusive, disrespectful group of people. This couple and their guests intentionally and illegally brought in CASES and CASES of their own beer, in direct violation of state law, and the couple and the guests served it in the parking lot out of the trunks of their cars to all guests, including underage guests. And now they blame the establishment for them breaking the law?? What a crock! The other bartender working with me was actually the one who called the police when we became afraid for ourselves. The maid of honor AND the bride and groom started screaming and lunging at us and at the owner because she had taken their illegal beer away from them. The one police officer had to physically restrain the bride after she shoved and tried to hit him. The behavior was so bad, so disgusting, so wrong that the owner was asked if she wanted to file charges against the couple. The owner chose not to do so and am sure she now regrets that. These people were so nasty and so despicable that the police had to send in additional officers and then would not leave the employees on site without the police staying until every single guest was gone. more

Great Place 3/15/2011

Good: Great space and they give you alot for the money. I have attended two events at this location. the staff is very friendly, i was there again this past weekend and they really went out of there way to make our fundraiser great. I applaud the staff for how they handled the difficult wedding and how they treat us when doing fundraisers.. Bad: They could have a few more staff members and maybe a security gaurd for certain events. I attended a wedding here last fall and some of the guest got out of control and took it out on the staff. The police were called and the event was shut down. Improvements: I think the manager handles eveything well. She had her hands full with the wedding I attended and there were some very rude obnoxious guest. She of course had no idea that a few of us were at that wedding reception. She should not be blamed for rude guest in her building.. Other: As I stated I have attended two events there the first I believe is the wedding that was shut down mentioned in another review. I was at that wedding and It was a couple of guest that got out of control and acting obnoxious. One side of the family felt they were paying for the event they could do as they wish. I think Bob should think about what really happened leading up to the shut down. My second event was this past weekend for a fundraiser / party for the school in which I work for.. more

A Hidden Jewel! 3/4/2011

Just attended a going-away cocktail reception at this incredible hall. I never knew this place existed before - appetizers were great, lovely bar area and they had the most decadent cupcake dessert bar! But most of all was the decor! Phenomenal! more

The owner of this establishment is of poor character. Two of my good friends got married at this venue over the weekend. They settled on this location due to the fact the catering company had complications with their first choice venue. Let me first make sure I make it perfectly clear the bride and groom are two the most genuinely nice people you will ever meet (no bridezillas here). The bride immediately was turned off by the owner's unprofessional and rude behavior. After prices were discused regarding the cash bar, the prices were drastically different the day of the wedding. Bartenders serving warm beer and in direct violation of State and County liquor laws the bartenders were NOT carding underage patrons. Problems and miscommunication by the owner and her brother led to SHUTTING THE WEDDING DOWN!! In addition the owner felt threatened and called the police!! Friends, family, grandmas, sisters, aunts and worst of all the bride in tears. Heartbroken over a tyrannical owner and her inexcusable behavior towards the sabotage of two wonderful people's most important day. I am still baffled by the events that took place here. more

Large and roomy 2/28/2006

This is the place to host your BIG wedding. This event center is very large and the dramatic center stage a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. Their large bar and lounge area in the back is a perfect spot for your guests to meet and mingle while they wait for you to have your photos taken. The dance floor is quite large and your guests will enjoy being able to spread out--no bumping elbows while you boogie. Their in-house catering offers very good food that is well presented. There is an outdoor patio, lots of free parking and a beautiful bridal changing suite. All in all, Copper Fields is a very good value as well. more
