Coors Field

Coors Field is good to Rockies fans! The parking is a bit of a bear....it's easiest to park in the north lot and just shuttle in. The view of the Rocky Mountains is always spectacular, and there's a range of meal options to choose from. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Go Rockies! more

We recently attended a Rockies game to watch Jimenez pitch. We paid for 3 tickets, parking in lot A, and some refreshments, totaling about $111. The game was delayed due to potential weather (?) for an hour and a half. It was unusually cold for mid-June and we were miserable just sitting there. After the delay, the crowd was told to go onto the concourse due to threatening weather. (half of the game could have been played by then). We stood for an hour near a stairwell, still cold and now wet. It was now nearly hours since the scheduled game start time so we left seeing no likelihood of a game in a flooded field and nearly 9 pm. Half way home to Parker, we heard on the radio that the game was being played. Too late to return now. The game was interrupted and finally called after 6 innings. So, for over $100 and hours of misery, we saw no game at all and felt cheated by corporate greed. We are newly moved to the area (from Virginia) and trying to get involved in local sports. This was not a good initial experience. The game should not have been played or at least refunds or replacement tickets should have been offered. Pros: Nice stadium Cons: No game but no refund more

With 3 kids under 10, few would venture to an MLB game, but Coors Field makes it easy for us. There is plenty of parking in the main lot, private lots and on the street within just 5 blocks in any direction. As another reviewer pointed out, Denver's light rail means not having to park dowtown at all if you'd rather not. The streets outside the stadium are pedestrian-only during games, so there's plenty of walking space. Same goes for the concourse inside - nice and wide for less congestion with an enormous souvenir store on the first base side of the main level. Going in they only check you for weapons and glass bottles; Coors is one of the few venues where you can bring in your own food and drink. (The concessions are the high ballpark prices you 'd expect.) There's not a bad seat in the place, and there are plenty of escalators and elevators if your seats are higher up. If you do find yourself on the third level, your view of the city or mountains is phenomenal, and the Colorado sunset is second to none. When you go, check out the single row of purple seats exactly one mile above sea level. For the kids there is a playground out past left field and there are both batting and pitching cages in center. There are plenty of places to explore in case of rain or kids who need to get up and move around. (Rockies games are rarely rained out.) Coors Field is the best - Go Rockies! Coors is a great park, however, the fans sit on their hands and are there to be seen... Bottom of the eighth, down by a run, two on, one out...why must the scoreboard operator tell the fans to clap? Then, when the sign on the scoreboard is off, it is once again silent! The fan excitement of the mid and late 90's, when the Rockies were new, has sadly disappeared...Baseball park atmosphere is all about the fans and this Coors is flat. I am a Senior (over 55) and am able to get a Centerfield A Centerfield Bleacher seat (Rockpile) for $1.00. Also, you can get a free pop if you sign up at the designated driver booth once a day. To sum it up for $1.00 (Senior) $4.00 (Adults) you can see a live ballgame and a free pop, also. Can't be beat, anywhere in the U.S.A. Plus a gorgeous field to watch baseball. I can buy tickets for the whole season at Coors Field (80 games) for $80.00. more

I enjoyed a game from about 20 rows back on the 1st base side. Wonderfull stadium with great views. Just wish the Rockies were a little better. Pros: Parking Easy to Find, Clean Bathrooms, Neat Stadium Cons: Rockies Suck, Coors Light more

Even though the team may not be too entertaining the stadium more than makes up for the lack of excitement on the field. more

It doesn't matter whose playing, whether it is raining or 100 degrees,...this is the best thing in life and we get to see it in Coors Field? It doesn't get much better than that! more

I have attended coors field. It is very tight and constricted. Unless you are a child of about 14,you will find the seats very uncomfortable, with limited access to the aisles and stairs. Concessions are plentiful. Parking is horrendous. You may be on one side of the field and have to walk all the way around the stadium to get to your section. For the money they spent, they did not do a very good job in design. Pros: Does not face sun, concessions, Good field view Cons: lousy seats, parking is poor, poor access to aisles more

I enjoy going to Coors Field because it is a great place to watch baseball, view the Rocky Mountains to the west, and enjoy great culinary delights. Why, in 1995, I sampled the local delicacies: Buffalo burgers and Rocky Mountain Oysters, the latter of which blew my mind. But it was very enjoyable, and no doubt I would like to go back. I've attended many games since Coors Field opened, and I have YET to find a bad seat! The view of the field from the concourses is even good! Parking is really a choice, given the excellent public transportation options. I take the train myself, $5 roundtrip, and never have to fight for a spot to park. The hot dogs are always good, and the beverages, COLD! Take yourself out to the ballgame, and GO ROCKIES! A great ball park, they did it right. Beer is expensive as you can guess and it's easy getting tickets. Anything can happen and it usually does. All it needs is winning club and a little tradition and it would be a gem more

Coors Field is the perfect baseball stadium. An old-school look, downtown location, GRASS surface, perfect seating arangement, the works. I sat out in right field and felt like I had the best seat in the house. My ticket was 6 bucks. Beautifully designed and amazingly maintained. Coors Field is what baseball is all about. more

Coors Field is a nice park all the way around. Great location near downtown. The surrounding Blake Street bars and pubs make it a good time before and after the game. more
