OK, I'm a redneck, but I love great food. I've never been to NY, but if Guido's is anything like NY pizza, count me in! Daily buffet, great price,... more

Awesome lunch buffett!! 1/22/2007

My wife and I were in Franklin, and hungry, and saw Guido's but knew nothing about the place. I thought maybe they would serve pizza by the slice and found out about a GREAT pizza place! Yes, they do have pizza by the slice but the special was the buffett. Garlic bread, spaghetti, nice salad bar all compliment a pizza buffett where unique pies are served. I tried a supreme, some kind of chicken and garlic, a spinach and alfredo sauce pie, all good! The pizza was thin crust, oven baked and the sauce was very high quality. Guido's is urban and cool, with cool jazz playing and also with ESPN on several TVs. We read about how at night there is live jazz and we are thinking of going back for Valentines. Altogether great experience! Pros: Food, value, ambience Cons: service was OK more

Best Pizza in Nashville....Period. 11/9/2006

Guido's has the best pizza in Nashville and the surrounding areas. I have been to them all, and while some pizzerias have really good pizza, none of them is firing on all cylinders like Guidos. The crust is perfect, the sauce is just right, if you get pepperonis, they are a little crispy, and it always comes out piping hot. A perfect combination to fold it over in the ""New York Style"" and devour it. The atmosphere is nice too with Live Music on certain nights of the week. Oh, they also have a pretty decent selection of beer. Pros: Best Pizza in Nashville Area Cons: No Delivery!!! more

A great spot for your next gathering 9/29/2006

On Sept. 23 my new husband and I held a smallish (50 people) reception party on the balcony. We had our wedding in Jamaica just the two of us and this was the night to share it with those we love. It could not have turned out better. more

Hoping !!! 3/24/2006

Went there as suggested by a friend on a Friday night and had a great time. Jazz was amazing which blended with the ambience so well. The food was also great. My husband (born and raised in NJ) decided that this was the best pizza in town. I then had suggested to my friends which a week later came back for a baby shower party. more

The real deal 2/3/2006

I was blown away by this establishment. The food was excellent, service was above average and the ambiance is great. Pros: Food, ambiance, sevice more

Must've been unlucky 7/9/2005

My only issue was the service: My waiter forgot the appetizer. I noticed that some of the waiters weren't able to carry more than two plates at a time. Strange that a ""large"" here was only six slices, smaller than I thought. Above said, everything else was great. My spinach, artichokes, chicken, ricotta pizza was wonderful. The piano player was not too loud and soothing for the meal. As said, the ambiance is great. This place feels like it was part of NY. I recommend this restaurant, just don't get my waiter. Pros: food, music Cons: pizzas expensive, service more

YUMMY!! 6/29/2004

This place is great. The ambience beats any pizza place I have ever been to, not to mention the pizza is excellent. I have never been to NY so I can't comment on if it is exactly like NY pizza or not, but it was REALLY good! They also have an awesome piano and live jazz on the weekends. Also, you do not have to order one of their gourmet pizzas, you can just get a regular cheese or pepperoni or whatever you want and you won't be charged the gourmet price. Pros: Ambience, Great Food more

Closest to home 5/8/2004

I was told by a couple of friends a week ago that they go there about 1 a week and sometimes more. They told us that it was the closest thing to what they were use to having when they were still in Jersey. So we, having moved from upstate NY decided to try. When we walked in it was an amazing setup that looked nothing like a pizza place. It was upper scale and the servers were friendly and casual. Our pizza was called ""Malay chicken"". It was awesome and the crust was just like us back in NY except in a much nicer place. Prices were quite reasonable and especially the happy hour bar prices. I was told by the server that they have live jazz bands on weekends too. We will be checking that out soon. By the way, our server was even from NYC. Pros: Romatic, Comfortable, Great NY pizzas more

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 3/27/2004

The food at Guido's is good, not great or outstanding as you would expect from the prices. I bought a medium Gourmet Pizza (it wasn't enough to feed 2 people) and the bill was $23.36. Costco pizzas are twice the size, half the price, and just as good. I wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends. And I can't foresee myself going back. TOO EXPENSIVE!!! Pros: Live Band, Great Ambience, Friendly Cons: , Too Expensive, Too Expensive more
