If you eat everything smothered in Velveeta or some other nondescript gravy...and don't know what really good, whole food tastes like...PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS and kindly stay out of the parking lot! That's the only thing you'll have a problem with. Take my advice, park 30 yards away along a side street and wait on the couch for a table. I discovered this place by chance and have never questioned my first opinion. Chef-inspired concoctions: I recently had the braised beef short ribs drizzled with (are you ready?) Dr. Pepper, tequila and red chili sauce! The lowly rib done good! Here's the hook and the full circle... found out the owner drives all the way to the Dublin, Texas bottling plant to buy the only Dr. Pepper made with real Imperial Cane Sugar instead of the crap made with HighFructoseCornSyrup (HFCS). That's how much she cares about what YOU eat. The ribs were amazing! And for the price, your entree plate includes veggies (dont' have to pay extra for sides!) a salad or soup (my favorite is the spinach and pear salad) and homemade yeast rolls like your grandmother (or great-grandmother!) used to make. Ask for seconds on the rolls...they are happy to bring them. You can get an excellent impress the date or anniversary-calibre meal (not counting wine/beer/tip) for $20 per person.
After chatting up my young waitress, found out the chef/owner is in her 60's and culinary arts graduate, but her main chef is in his 20's and really has good ""buds"". She and he dream this stuff up and make sure it's made with the freshest ingredients with emphasis on local stuff.
This is a really cool restaurant with young and old mixed customers...all with good taste!
