Cool Max Heating & Air Conditioning

I had cool max come out and do an energy audit on my home and gave a quote. I wanted to take the time and let cool max know that I appreciate them doing the energy audit and applying the fee to the repairs. It made it worth my money and now that I have been saving money on my utility bills I decided to let other people know that they are not full of hot air. They really can save you money. I'd say at least 40% some months which is a heck of a lot over $100 the other month from last years bill. Well worth the money I spent I plan to stay in my house for another 5-10 years if I sell it will be when the housing industry picks up. But in the meantime I am saving money so I am happy. It's nice to have the extra money to put away in savings. Could not have been prouder and I recommend to some of my friends at work and I know theyve been satisfied also. I even recommended my daughter bc she got taken by another company that wouldnt come and fix her a/c when it was installed less than a year ago and wouldnt even fix their problem. Thats ok because I got her to call cool max to fix the compressor and now she is in a lawsuit with other company for improperly installing her a/c. Our old units were screaming for replacement in June-you never think about the problems until they happen and we didn't want to be caught in the heat this year. We found Cool Max to be the best fit for our budget and what we wanted. \r We purchased a heat pump, furnace, humidifier, Air bear filtration system and digital Tstat. What really sold us was the warranty that is on our units. We waited to send this review so we could compare the utility bills. WOW.....we've save $50 to $60 each month on our electric bill. The dust problem is gone- we got the humidifier so our hardwood floors won't dry out this year, no more sore throats and static zaps will be resolved. \r Cool Max were very professional and came up with some solutions: lifted our heat pump up in the air so the dogs could not go the bathroom on it or decide it was something they would like to chew on; came up with a duct system to heat & cool our basement. \r The Installers, Techs and Office personal are a great team of people to work with, they are very family oriented and thinking ""GREEN' . They are up-to -date on all the modern technology to keep up with todays every changing products. Showed us where we were loosing our heat and air because of the ducts were not being sealed properly. \r Some of our neighbors that we have told, have taken advantage of the coupons/specials that Cool Max is showing on their website. \r We are truly satisfied by saving money and enjoyed a COOL summer. Wow! If you are looking for customer service...Cool Max is exceptional! The service repairmen wore covers over their shoes in order to protect my floors...THANK YOU! They explained everything to me and fixed my air conditioner quickly. Showed my husband some things about our equipment that he did not know. Took time to explain what was wrong and what needed fixing. Explained how maintenance is important so that our air conditioner will last a long time. Cleaned up after they finished. I called Cool Max to tune up my A/C. The tech found some problems and recommended having someone do a blower door test on my house. I was so impressed with their knowledge! I went with the suggested repairs and WOW! My power bill is now half of what it was! I have never been so comfortable in my house! My upstairs is now the same temperature as my downstairs and my dust is gone! I thought it was normal to have dust in my house. Thanks Cool Max! I will never use another company! On Saturday, September 6th I came home around 5:30 PM and my house was 84 degrees. I found Cool Max in Buford on city search with 24 hr emergency service. Joey came to my house within 30 min and I couldn't believe the fast service. Although my unit was frozen he cut my heat on to thaw out the ice so he could find out the problem. He repaired the leak in my system and now me and my dogs are cooling better than ever at 72 degrees. Thank you sooo much Joey and Cool Max for going the extra mile and getting me cool over the weekend. Best experience I have had from an air conditioning company. I am a customer for life now!! Ok, so I needed to have a LOT of work done in my damaged house.. (ducts, a/c, and furnace) 2 years ago I had to replace my A/C unit due to shotty work, and I refuse to do it again. I did my research, and found that these places are NOT all the same. I also learned that in this day and age, the only real way to save money is to get a company that can TOTALLY SEAL your house and ducts so it doesn't use so much energy to heat and cool it. There are NO requirements so most companies in Georgia DON'T do this. Many of them try to hook you with a low ball estimate, and do crumby work that will cost you so much more every single month. Cool Max uses a scientific approach, and is the only one that sincerely stressed efficiency and took the time to really explain things to me. Not only did they offer me high efficiency units, (like one of the others did) but they set me up with slightly smaller units that saved me money and heat/ cool the house MUCH better than what I had. They also gave me a home energy audit, and showed me that I can cut a lot off my bill by adding a ""radiant barrier"" to my attic, and by sealing the ducts to California standards rather than leaking all my heat and A/C into the attic. (where most of our money goes and we have no idea why the bill is so high) They also figured out how to heat and cool the house faster as well as make my upstairs the same temperature as downstairs ALL THE TIME!! I believe that they are the only company in the Sugar Hill / Suwanee area that has the scientific equipment, and staff knowledgeable enough to do this.\r Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the customer service is as good as it gets. Joey is a true perfectionist. He gave me his 24 hour number (just in case) and made sure that I am happy with all. I couldn't be happier with my choice. more
