I don't normally post reviews but thought I would share this as my experience was not as positive as others indicate here. My heater stopped working and the ACS technician diagnosed that I needed to replace the igniter and circuit board at a cost of $1,400 + I would likely need the blower motor to be replaced soon so I might as well go for a whole new system, for a mere $3,500 !!! ACS uses 5 service/repair ""packages"" pre-priced on their invoice that likely include more items than actually need to be done for a given repair and are therefore more expensive than what actual repairs should cost. They offer a nominal discount to these prices if you become a ""Club member"" of their service program. I contacted another company who replaced the igniter for $200, works like a charm. FYI, the ACS invoice ""package"" price for this actual repair would have been $369 ($295 Club member price). This proves that just because you have a BBB approval rating and other certifications, it does not mean you will get an honest diagnosis and/or reasonably priced repairs. more

There are not enough good things I can say about this company. If you're looking for fast service with fair prices and an amazing staff of professionals, this is your company! From the time I noticed my AC went out to the time they had it fixed was less than two hours! The staff worked through their lunch to make sure I was cooling as soon as possible. June in Texas is no place to be without air conditioning, and American Comfort Solutions understands this. There's a reason why they're considered the best in Katy by the Better Business Bureau, because they are. Thanks again to Jennifer, ""Disco,"" and Robin, what a GREAT crew! more

I have called this company for the last 3 years, whenever my A/C has had a problem. I have American Home Shield (AHS), but I still call Robin Sykes company for my A/C ystem for their prompt high quality service and fair prices. When AHS tried to over charge me for a new unit, I decided to shopped around. American Comfort was the only company to answer the phone immediately, in a kind respectful manner, answer my questions, and send out a technician in a timely manner. The technician was dressed clean, put on shoe covers before entering my home, and after a thorough investigation explained the problem and gave me a fair estimate of cost, which was less expensive than the AHS vendor. Since then I call American Comfort Solutions every year for a maintenance check up. Every time I call receive an immediate reponse, a follow-up call to confirm, the technician shows up on time, shoots the breeze in a courteous manner, puts on his booty, and does his job. Robin and Louisa Sykes are great family oriented company and run a customer friendly business. more

Recently we had some service work done on our home elievator to change it from battery to AC. On a Sunday morning we realized the air conditioner in our upstairs unit was not working properly and not cooling at all. We placed a call to American Comfort Solutions and I personally spoke to Mr. Sykes. Within one hour there was a tech at our door to check our system. Within 5 minutes the tech asked if we had a power failure or had to turn the power off as the breaker for the upstairs unit was turned off, He turned it on and our system was working fine. We have used ACS for several years now and their service is TOP NOTCH! When we asked what we owed the tech said ""Have a great Sunday!"" I really appreciate ACS and they are a great Christian company. I highly recommend ACS. On time, friendly and honest. Great attention to customer service! Thank you ACS! more
