Wow!!! I feel like one star is even too much! The items in the store are nice - but can certainly be purchased at another locally owned business where the owner cares about your patronage. There is one, yes only one, employee that is pleasant to deal with - and the chefs are nice, but the woman that owns this place doesn't deserve a penny from the floor of your car!\r
At this time, with small businesses closing every time you blink, you would think this woman would appreciate the $130 you spend for two people to go to a cooking class...not this owner. She shows her gratitude by towing your car if you decided to grab an appetizer and a drink next door with your mother that just flew in, an hour before class starts Now picture this - the manager of Hawthorne Pizza asks if anyone is the owner of your make and model of car because Uptown Cooking is towing your car. You run out of the restaurant and go next door to alert them that you are waiting for the class that starts shortly, the class that you prepaid for five weeks ago, next door and they shouldn't tow your car. The owner responds with ""Parking is for customers only."" You say, ""But I am a customer. I paid for two of us to take your class that begins in less than an hour. My mom was hungry after a long flight, we stopped next door for a snack before class. Can you please not tow my car? We will be here shortly."" She snaps back with an out of control attitude, ""You are not a customer here in the store right now."" Are you kidding me??????? Lady, your store wasn't even unlocked yet!!!! I was so disgusted, we didn’t even come back for the class!\r
I have to ask if she is has so much business she doesn't know what to do with or if she is just that rude. Either way, she is rude and unappreciative! I support locally owned establishments whenever possible because I do not want to see them fail, but this place fails, the neighborhood would be a better place. Take your time, money and energy somewhere else because coming here is a waste of all three.\r
