Always take the time to discuss problem options and answer all my questions. Being a single woman, I'm always Leary of auto shops however I have never felt this way at Continental...

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT -- Called in... JEFF told me sure bring it in we've got time... JEFF says it'll cost me $210.00 to run diagnostics + parts/labor, and have car repaired same day...

They saved us big bucks on the purchase of a used Volvo wagon. We went back to the dealer with CMW's pre-purchase inspection report and the dealer did over $2,000 of repairs before we bought the vehicle. A huge thanks to Jeff and his crew! more

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT -- Called in... JEFF told me sure bring it in we've got time... JEFF says it'll cost me $210.00 to run diagnostics + parts/labor, and have car repaired same day. JEFF told me they had worked on it for (3) hours and they couldn't finish it that day ... would order the part and have it for me noon tomorrow. JEFF's first quote was for O2 sensor @ $400. p&l. So I told JEFF I just had one replaced recently it didn't cost $400. So JEFF says he'll give me a deal and do it for $300. I told JEFF I'd go elsewhere.... another automotive repair rip-off. DISHONEST, OVERCHARGED, & ARROGANT ABOUT IT! more

Nice people good service 7/31/2010

I noticed they have been terriffic they do a lot of service considering the labor. Everytime I go they wash my car and they start service right away as I don't need a ride home. Sure maybe a little pricey but they work for it. Many people seem to go back there and say good things. more

Wow what a deal its not 2/11/2010

Took my car in for a break inspection and he estimated $400 for the brake change. The 5 other places a took it estimated between $180-$225. They are nice and explain everything but at double the price id much rather have a not so friendly guy to take my money. Save u some green and move past this place Pros: nice? Cons: everything more

Great Customer Service 10/12/2009

They understand apprehension in spending a lot of cash to fix a used vehicle. Jeff gave me an overview on multiple problems that I had with my vehicle and gave an honest best/worst case scenario for all. They were happy to do only the bare minimum to keep me on the road. After checking prices around town, they seemed right on point. Never have I felt this comfortable okaying work on my vehicle. Pros: To the point, honest pricing Cons: Broken cars suck more

Frank SLO They are a local mechanics shop who live in our community. Car and/or truck problems stink. And they are usually expensive to fix. Mechanics have little control over their costs. However, Continental Motor Works will be the first to encourage you to maintain your vehicle BEFORE it causes an expensive problem. And you get your car back all washed and clean. more

Beware! 1/14/2009

As a naive college student I came to Continental Motors to diagnose my older car which was running rough. I was charged $50 just to get an estimate, and got no conclusive diagnosis. Looking back, I was taken advantage of. Since they advertise as having been locally owned for 25 years, I assume the same shady practices are still taking place. Giving mechanics a bad name. more
