Conte's Farm in Tabernacle is a glaring image of New Jersey- before the suburban sprawl. Located within driving range of all the crowded 'burbs, you can enjoy freshly picked produce and freshly baked treats at their farm stand and bakery. A little pricey though. If you want some good cheap entertainment, take your family to pick fruit. You pay for what you pick. A good deal, if you ask me. You get only the best stuff you choose, and it is fun. The price is right and you even get to take something home out of it. I came for blueberries, and I look forward to picking peaches someday.
It is enjoyable to pack a light lunch and picnic. You can easily spend a whole day here. And it is good exercise.
You can eat as you pick. A sample you know? just don't take advantage. You have to pay still.
