high prices, mostly trash 7/26/2010

This is a second hand store that thinks they are selling new items. any way that is my guess the prices are way too high for used merchandise I don't go in here anymore because of this fact if i wanted to spend that kind of money I would go to a department store which has better bargains and their things are not used and smell bad. The store has poor customer service skills this woman is just plain nasty she is a joke, they need a better educated and more skilled man or woman to work here than her. do not buy here do not consign here leave them to pick the trash like they do and do not give them anymore business... they need new management Cons: high prices small dark smelly store more

terrible place i would advise all that are thinking of consigning here to read and be warned... just look all over the interent for her ratings, most are one star she is a monster! she steals has no morals and is one nasty person, who knows how she sleeps at night ruining people's lives as she does she will take your money and run stay away from this place for consigning and buying stuff is all cr@p she takes the nice things for herself and steals them Pros: nothing good at all! worst experience of my life stay away from here 7/23/2010

this has been the worst experience in my life coming here! I bought a piece of furniture (got ripped off cost wise and charges added) took it home to find out that the piece was infested with FLEAS!!!!! as a result I came back to talk to the woman about getting store credit or something else and she was REALLY NASTY with me I had to trash the piece and loose my money I was in the mean time waiting on a few items I consigned to sell and 40 days went by after the last day of sale and I got NO CHECK I showed up again to talk to her about it and she told me that NOTHING sold, but I had been in earlier and saw that many of my items were gone well before the pick up date and she confirmed this verbally with me .... so Do Not leave anything there.. pick it all up just so that you can prove that your items sold, because she just rips out the pages in her book that say that the items sold and it becomes your word against hers NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY TO DEAL WITH HER go to goodwill or a similar consignment shop, she lost me hundreds. this woman is a rotten awful sales woman She will rip you off any chance you get do not consign with her, take your things down the road or to a goodwill I wish I trashed or donated my things I hate thinking that this woman ripped me off and I gave her more than 50% off all my sales from my items She LIES CHEATS AND STEALS how can she sleep at night? the community needs to get together and press charges, she should be in prison Pros: NOTHING NADA ZIP Cons: everything is terrible, she is a theif she should be in jail more

do not consign here this woman is a maniac she will steal your items and snake you for your money she sees something she wants of yours then she doesn't list prices when you sign and when you come back (even within a few hours) the items that she liked are mysteriously ""sold"" to herself and she gives you a mere $5 $10 for a piece worth hundreds. she has caused more problems than it is worth next time I will donate or trash my belongings Pros: nothing Cons: illegal business going on, arrogant, nasty more

claims to have lost all your big items, how can you loose huge things? never pays you claims that you get a 50/50 cut in form of a check 30 days after the sales end... she never sends the money since I have a signed contract it looks like i will be taking this thief and known criminal to court I hope that they revoke her license to sell and have a store look forward to seeing her stealing face in court or cuffed by the police for not showing up please avoid this place unless you like getting involved with police and court costs to recover your own money buyer or selling please read all the negative feedback before going here Pros: small place Cons: a criminal of a woman runs this place, steals your money more

Nasty woman as a staff and they steal your items and money if you need to consign do it somewhere else the woman is such a disgrace to consignment shops she is a thief and steals your items and prices them wrong and she will take what she wants right away I would recommend researching places also I read other reviews about how often this CRIMINAL calls the POLICE on people when she is at wrong what a low life stay away from this place Pros: terrible no pros Cons: Nasty woman as a staff and they steal your items more

Great Deals - Fabulous Furniture 5/13/2009

I frequent this store often. They are always changing so fast. The furniture is unique and it ranges from all different styles and prices. I got a dinning room set for 1500 - it was brand new. I was looking at the same set in raymor and flann. for 5000. You never know what they are going to have - definitly worth ten minutes every so often, to just pop in!! Pros: Best deal in town. This place is amazing!! It was recommended to me buy a friend. I can't believe how much stuff people get rid of. Everything is in great condition, and they arrange the furniture to look like a room. The store changes every day! I went home to measure, came back, and the piece was gone. Then came back a week later, and found something that worked even better! The staff is really pleasant, and also did my delivery the same day!! Great service, great stuff, great store!!! Pros: Stuff is in great condition and CHEAP!!! Cons: Parking is a hassle - but can park next door in McDonalds more

Avoid consigning here. 5/3/2008

I also had issues consigning with this store. Next time, I'll save myself the hassle and just donate unwanted items. Not worth it. Didn't see anything worth buying either. There are a few good pieces mixed in with alot of junk. Store is dark, cluttered, musty.\r \r There is a much better consignment shop for great used furniture in the Gateway Shopping Center off 202. Pros: Alot of furniture. Cons: It's alot of junk. You can do better elsewhere. more

Consign & Design was recommended by a friend and I've been thanking her ever since that day. Furniture styles span 1940s through 1990s and all the accessories you could imagine. I found a pristine midcentury (1960s) modern 3 piece sectional sofa that had just been dropped off - obviously just after the vinyl slipcovers were removed. Found a number of other accessories since. Visit often because their inventory turns over fast. Go home to think about a purchase and it will be gone. If you cruise consignment and thrift shops regularly, you'll recognize that the prices are good. Proprietress could be a bit friendlier and can't quite figure out why buyers are charged a 3% fee. But I visit regularly any way - when I buy a lamp for $12 and a chair for $11, I chalk up the extra charge as my Yippee tax and drive home whistling. Some of the items I saw on my last visit: vintage stow away sewing machine and cabinet, oak side tables, mirrors of all sizes, dining room suites including servers and too many other items to mention. Visit. It will become one of your favorite spots. Pros: Variety . Prices. Quality Cons: Parking tricky. Proprietress could be a bit friendlier. Local delivery only. more

Biggest and Best Used Furniture and Knick Knacks Store in the Area 8/15/2007

Way less than 40% of new stuff! Don't judge it from the outside - its huge! and Don't judge it by one visit - it changes daily! -so don't hesitate or someone else will buy something you spotted. I went home to think about something and the very next day - It was sold. I've now refurnished most of my house from there. They get alot of nice things from the main line, as well as vintage, and antique! Oh, don't ask them to help you move furniture unless you're getting it delivered - the counter girls are funny about that.\r \r Pros: Alot to choose from every visit! Cons: Must be there when their guys are unloading the truck - good things go fast! more
