Not fit for a dog... 1/24/2011

Never again! Before you leave your dog here ask to see the kennels. The dog pound is next to the boarding area and my dog came home with some form of canine influenza requiring $300 in vet bills. To make matters worse, or perhaps contributing to his illness was the fact that when I went to pick up my dog he was covered in dog $h!+, making one wonder how often the runs are cleaned out and how attentive the staff are when you are not there. Even though my dog was there for a week, I was assured that he had only been covered in dog crap for the day I picked him up, which is hard for me to believe. This place isn't fit for a dog... more

CT K-9 and my dog. 1/25/2009

This facility is a well organized school with a very friendly atmosphere. I buy my dog food there just because it gives me a reason to pay the staff a visit. ..ha ha... My dog is only six months old, and she has already learned all of the basic obedience commands (and various other unique commands) with the help of many members of the staff at CT K-9. I am very pleased with this school, the grooming, and the training program. Any and every question I came up with ended up being answered, and if anything was unsure of, I would receive an answer the next day. Quite honestly, I have learned more at this school than I had learned in four years of college. Each member of the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. As for my dog (who is the most important part in choosing a training facility), she is always thrilled when she sees I've driven her to visit her friends at CT K-9. more

Outdated 10/3/2008

This is an outdated facility teaching outdated dog training. The place could use a thorough make over and cleaning. The boarding dogs are kept in with the city pound dogs who are often sick. Also the training methods that they use are very old school and are not very dog friendly. The customer service isn't great. The students who go through their dog trainer training and groomer trainer program don't come out with nearly enough knowledge or with knowldege of modern techniques. There are definitely better more modern facilities in the area. more

CT K-9 Education Center 6/10/2006

We've had our dog groomed at CT K-9 for several years. They always do a really good job and he's happy when we go to pick him up- which is really what matters to us most. They have a fair pricing policy and also, they take discover card!! Be warned, boy or girl dogs come home with a bow. more
