Dear Mr. Martinez:
In 2007 I was making six figures and than I went through a bad divorce. I lost my job. The reason why I am writing you is that since 2008. I have been looking for a job. My credit score went from 720 from to 520 in one year.
Unfortunately no company will hire me because I have bad credit, parent school loans, credit card debt, house payment, all because my circumstances has changed.
If we are going to turn around this country Americans have to work. One cannot get hired if one has bad credit.
I could not even get a retail job for 10.00 per hour because companies are allowed to do a credit check.
before thy hire an employee.
Are there any in the future changes that will help me get a job?
Are companies going to be allowed to use credit to discriminate potential employees?
I am not asking for a hand out just a job to pay what I owe. I am not asking to be paid six figures just an income to survive and feed my son.
Please let me know what the government is proposing to do to help Americans like me?
Sincerely,
Audrey Agassi
