I went to Petco to look for a Plecostomus Fish (sucker fish) and after scouring the store for an associate for about 20 minutes, I learned that they did not have a single one. The careless worker says to me, "We might have some Wednesday."
I left and happened to see a guy wearing a fish board with an advertisement for Congressional Aquarium on it and figured there was no harm in looking. Though it was a little confusing to find (it's on the lower level of Congressional Plaza, behind many of the stores. You actually have to turn on to Congressional Lane prior to the plaza to get there) it is well worth it once you do find it. The facility is much larger than I would have imagined, but going in you would think it was a small place due to the great atmosphere. Not only is the staff eager, helpful and knowledgeable, there were just downright friendly. It is well stocked with aquarium and pond supplies, decor, fish, reptiles and even arachnids. I've been there several times and I can safely say that as long as I live in the area, I will never get aquarium supplies anywhere else.
