A great place to pray and study Torah 11/23/2009

Congregation Beth Shalom is a dynamic, friendly and open Modern Orthodox congregation located in the charming town of Red Bank, NJ. Founded in 1957 by a visionary group of men and women dedicated to Torah, broader knowledge, and an enriched Jewish life, Congregation Beth Shalom provides a warm and intimate atmosphere in which to pray and learn. Beth Shalom is not a work of any one person, but rather the expression of the faith and devotion of a diverse but Jewishly committed community confidently engaging with the modern world while retaining the standards of Orthodoxy. Rabbi Yerachmiel Shapiro is a great spiritual leader, and CBS is the beneficiary of his energetic leadership, forward thinking, and faithful dedication to Jewish values. He is very approachable and will be happy to help in any way. He may be reached by phone (732) 741-1657) or via email (RedBankRabbi@yahoo-com) Pros: Ideal location, steps away from train, bus and shopping Cons: Need more active members and volunteers to enable & sustain more
