Nothing special here in terms of dogs but the service is great

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/29/2014

Now serving Mediterranean food. Loves their gyro and shewarma plates more

Another Wannabee 1/16/2013

Quality of the food is poor to fair, the chili is just that.,chili, not coney sauce, and they use organ meats (beef hearts). The casing on the hot dog does not disolve in your mouth very chewy,YUCK!!\r Also what do you think about the owner Mickey B., threatening me??\r Still open?? Wow,about time you leave L.A., and go back where you belong!~\r more

Love the burgers, fries are excellent and I've warmed up to the coney dog (with chili). And you can't beat the Monday specials. Worth going. more

Coney Dog is a NASTY place!! They use organ meats in their chili....YUCK. If you are Jewish stay away ,as they cook the Kosher?? dogs on the same grill as the pork!! more

Pretty good not stellar! 7/27/2011

The food was good, I was not too impressed with the chili itself. I think I was overall expecting a different type of hot dog because I am used to the larger ones and these were just average dogs. Sure they were topped with chili and cheese but they just weren''t what I expected. I did love the chili cheese fries and the overall feel of the place. The service was definitely great, no complaints. Its close to work so I will probably eat there again but would I drive across for a Coney dog? probably not. more

Man Bites Dog! ...Lunch at 11. 7/12/2011

Went here today for the first time and my impression of the place is that it was a nice lunch spot. Our group of three sat at a table larger than necessary, but nobody tried to crowd three guys into a small booth and I appreciated that. The offerings were standard, not much by way of variety on the menu...but what was there was tasty. A couple of nice TV's going with news & sports but never too loud. And let me say - the place was bright and clean. I had the Turkey Dog, (hold the onions- cause I still had work meetings to attend). One last thing.....Mmmm...good fries. more

Well Done 6/22/2011

It was nice to go to a place where everything was made well, vs. a restaurant with 100 things on the menu made poorly. Really loved the classic Coney Dog & Feygo Pop! more

Gallon of Gas or Hot Dog? 6/22/2011

OK hot dog won this time. A bit pricey in my opinion. But the food was good. more

Love the Coney Dog and Chili fries 6/22/2011

So far I went there twice. The first time I had the Coney Dog and Chili fries. The chili was spicy and I enjoyed it a lot. The coney dog with chili and onions toppings was really good too. I had a bottle of rock and rye pop that balances the chili and the onions pretty well. The second time I had a loose burger which is a hotdog bun topped with ground beef chili. It's not bad but I would recommend to stick with the coney dog. I also had fries with no toppings, but it''s so much better with chili you need it. The place was pretty crowded and noisy between noon and 1pm, too much for me, but I guess that's because the place had just opened, so it should be more quiet after a while. You should try it for yourself! more

Good chili 6/21/2011

The chili cheese fries were amazing! Service was a little slow but then again the business just opened. I will definitely plan on going back another time. more

Detroit Native digs Coney Dog 6/21/2011

Being raised on coney dogs and bottled coke in Detroit I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Coney Dog in West Hollywood. Thankfully, they did not disappoint! It was ridiculously busy so service was a bit slow, but the staff is friendly, even when overwhelmed. The chili dog itself was quite tasty; the fries were delicious and the bottled Coke hit the spot and took me on a lovely trip down memory lane. more

Nice Chili! 6/21/2011

Quick stop to grab a bite to eat on Sunset. They have a good selection of sodas on beer on tap, that I might want to go back and take advantage after work sometime. The Chili Dog was pretty good. The Chili was tasty and did not feel tired or run down by 4:00pm. more

This Just In.... A Nice Place in WeHo For Dogs! 6/21/2011

Got the Loose Burger. To my pleasant surprise, it was a chili dog with ground meat! The chili is spicy and the onions are sweet, making it a sweet place to get a dog, bro. Saw a great beer selection too. Might take the wife here this weekend and watch nascar. more

Not bad... 6/21/2011

The chili is REALLY good, but the rest of the food is pretty simple. I went on opening day, and had a turkey dog (with chili) and chili fries. The Chili fries were awesome, but the turkey dog was pretty basic. Nothing special (beyond the chili). That being said, if you don't like chili, skip this place. The staff was good, quick turnaround for food...and that was on opening day when they were crazy busy! more

Best Hot Dogs in the City!!! 6/21/2011

I bought hot dog and french fries yesterday. Simply the best. You should go and try - you will not be disappointed. Full house, friendly personnel, delicious food - perfect combination. more

Detroit Style Coney Dog Comes to Sunset Blvd! 6/21/2011

Super psyched Coney Dog opened one block from my office. It was only their 2nd day in busines since opening and the coney dog and crinkle cut fries I ate were delish! They were very busy due to their Facebook coupon promotion, but I still found the staff friendly, helpful and full of energy. Love when a great new place to grab lunch opens near the office. Can't wait to try the loose burger and have a bottled coke. more

  • Had the California Jack which was a bland mess. The chili just made everything all soggy had no flavor. The fries were decent and cooked well. I would say there are much better and more...
