Iffy At Best 8/4/2011

Computer World is the only place to go that is certified by Apple if you're having problems like I did with my MacBook Pro. The RAM was damaged and seeing as I just got it there was no way it was my fault! So luckily Apple covered it. The establishment is very nice looking, yet off a busy road making it kinda tough to get into. Once there the people listen to you and get straight to work. However that's where I feel it stops. While I was in the story they were diagnosing my computer they were working on it, I had to leave my computer there on a thursday and the latest I would get it back would be Tuesday. They promised to call me and keep me updated, yet they did not! I had to call them, and I did! I'm going to college in 23 days I can't be without a laptop I just bought! They were nice when I called but always left saying "Were working on it" I finally got my computer back wednesday! and they said everything was fine, however I noticed something was wrong with flash player so I stayed more

mostly OK, but 8/15/2009

I have bought two macs from this store and everything went fine until my Macbook pro's screen went black, took it to the store to figure out what was wrong with the thing. it took them about a month to figure out that they could not help me fix it without replacing the whole top part. within this month not once did they call to update me. I would call, then they would say that they were working on it right this moment and then they would not call back until i would call again and the same story. then they lost the screws for the computer and had to order them. now they gave me my computer back, but today i notice that screws on the bottom of the screen are missing and there seem to be loose metals in the screen part of the computer. I think they may be screws that they lost, but who knows, now I'm not sure if I want to have them take them out for another month. overall they are ether severely understaffed or sloppy Pros: nice staff, warm welcome atmosphere Cons: they take a long time to fix things and don't call back more

Best in the State 5/22/2008

The relaxed environment makes me feel as if I am in control of my computing needs. Their extremely knowledgeable staff go out of their way to make sure all the bases are covered. They even offered lessons on some of the more difficult concepts and procedures that you would not get anywhere else. I would recommend all my peers to deal with this company before spending their money in some corporate cookie cutter store. Pros: Professional and Knowledgeable Cons: Limited software selection more

Nice small shop. 5/22/2008

Long time customer; never had any problems getting service or questions answered. I've been purchasing computers for them for almost 15 years. Last time I had a serious problem the techs went out of their way to get my data recovered and get me up and running. Pros: They can fix just about anything. Cons: Small variety of software. more

My only local computer resource 5/7/2008

Computer World are truly there to help you find reliable products that are best suited to your needs. Unlike some big box electronics stores, the staff know the ins and outs of the products they sell and have an answer for any question. Prices are standard and it's locally owned. The service technicians are second to none. They know more about your computer off the tops of their heads than Best Buy does after 2 hours of ho-humming around. more

Horrible, unprofessional, unresponsive service 5/1/2008

I brought my MacBook in for repairs after a former friend had broken several parts by knocking it off of a table. I was told that they would call with an estimate within a few days. After a week I called and was told that they had ordered parts and everything would be covered by Apple. A week after that I called again to find out when it would be done and was told that they were only replacing the cover and it would be done in about three days. If I wanted anything else fixed it would be $90 an hour plus parts, and it would be about 4 hours of work. They had no idea what the cost of parts would be and weren't sure how long it would take to get them. I should have just sent it to Apple. Nothing that I wanted to have fixed was done and I was without my computer for two weeks for no reason. They hadn't even started work on day 14. Ridiculous. Pros: Plenty of parking, probably because no one goes there Cons: Did not do anything that I asked or they said they would do more

Computer World 11/9/2005

We have had extensive work done on some of our computer equipment because of lightning damage. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful each and every time we had to have them figure out problems and graciously submitted documents to our insurance carrier. They really made sure we were happy with the service they provided. They were very helpful and very much so on time with the time quoted when our compouter would be fixed. The parking here was no an issue and the place was clean and very nice! Thanks Again! more
