I read all of the negative comments on this page, but after I did my own investigation I decided I'd take a risk and do a few jobs for Geeks Mobile. I figured the worst case scenario would be that I would have fixed a couple of computers for free - hell, I've done that since I was fifteen.
Glad I took the risk. I got my check in the mail today for my first job - right on time.
Geeks Mobile recruited me from one of the many job sites I had my resume on. I was asked to take a test and then asked to fill out a W9, an application and send a copy of my ID. Seemed legitimate enough to me.
I am a professional - when I show up, I dress appropriately (slacks and a tie) and more importantly, I know what I am doing. The customers were extremely satisfied on both jobs I've been dispatched to, and I anxiously await the next opportunity to make some easy money.
Everyone I've talked to at Geeks Mobile has been courteous and professional. I've never been encouraged to "milk the customer for hours." They charge $100/hr. The customer knows that before I ever get a call. They pay me $40/hr. I know that before I get a call. Personally, I don't think it's a bad deal - how many other companies will dispatch someone to your house that knows what they're doing on the same day? And how many places pay $40/hr and let you work whenever you feel like it?
I don't know Ilya Elbert, and I don't know what this company was like in the past. But I felt compelled to share my positive experience with Geeks Mobile to help "clear their name."
Thanks Geeks Mobile for giving me a chance to make some extra $$$!
Pros: Great Service, Great to Work For!
