Don't Bank Here 5/11/2009

So I went in to open an account and no one was able to help me. A short chunky blonde lady came out of an office and asked me what I needed help with. I told her I was interested in opening up an account. She said let me find someone. Came back 5 minutes later and said well I guess I can help you. I had several questions regarding COmpass because I was new to Texas. She was rude and acted like she did not want to be there. I ended up not opening up an account. Customer service is so important to me. I knew I was not going to get it with this bank. Went across the street to Bank of America. more

Compass Bank 3/7/2009

I have been banking with Compass Bank for four years now and I have not had any problems with this bank. Nsf fees incur if you do not know how to manage your register. I have not once overdrawn my account and understand how items post with Compass Bank. People have to understand that this bank is an offline bank and not an online bank. Not only is it a good bank, but it is one of the top safest banks out there beating Chase and Wells Fargo in that aspect. Reading and knowing that my money is safe, keeps me at ease during these hard economical times. Thank you Compass Bank! more

If Compass was the last bank on earth... 12/8/2006

If Compass was the last bank on earth, I would hide my money under my mattress instead of taking it to them. Some of their "policies" are quite questionable. I have never in 20 years had problems with banks, until we opened up an account with this one. We are now across the street at Bank of America and are much happier and hassle free. We also have another account with United Heritage and have had no problems with them either. We encountered several problems when banking with Compass that in our opinion should not of happened and it took WAY too long to correct their mistake. Their customer service stinks and just made it worse. Do yourself and your blood pressure a favor and take your money somewhere else. more
