I occasionally shop at the Community Thrift Store on South Orange Avenue, and I have to say, some of the prices seem out of line with a thrift shop, but more times than not, I will find things I can use. As far as accepting only cash, this is a thrift shop, I can understand not accepting debit or credit cards because the bank charges outrageous fees for accepting debit and credit cards. Some banks charge a connection fee (for requesting authorization for a charge), a swipe fee (really?), and the list goes on. So please understand when a business only accepts cash, it is because they are trying to save money (translation: bank charges), and isn't that what it's all about? more

Although I think there is so good things about this store as well as bad things, I do suggest shopping there. 8 out of 10 times I shop there, I find something I like, at a good price. However, some items are priced so incorrectly! Just because an item is ""new"" with tags still doesn't mean it's worth $11 or $16. Please train your associates on current going rates and fashion prices. more

Bad Managers and Service 6/11/2011

I have to tell you all again. The community thrift store Orlando at 5456 S Orange Ave, Edgewood, Florida is Number ONE for the WORST Thrift store in Florida. Today I was in the store and found 5 bags of hand soap for $191 each. One of the bags had the price tag INSIDE the bag (You could see it!). Same soap, same size bag same price! The Girl at the counter said she could not sell it because the tag was inside! I ask to see the Manager (Brittney). She said Sorry we can?t sell it until the next day! I always thought managers made decisions? This girl should not be in Customer service. If the store ever caught fire she couldn?t decide to pull the alarm or go to lunch! The store is wasting money by having a manager who can?t think. This store has just lost another customer and we will tell others!..This is all the time. I have had it.Thank you more

Good place but... 12/26/2009

This place has lots of stuff for everyone. Its a good solid thrift store. Some of the prices were good then some were high like a nice small picture from from disney world said 18.18. Not only a high, but weird price. Lots of stuff was weird priced. Didnt like how they have it CASH ONLY. Thats kinda not good for business to me. Pros: Great selection, lots of stuff Cons: Only cash, weird prices, some high more
