e-bayer haven 3/9/2011

E-bayers suck up all the nice stuff, sometimes filling up 2 carts. Did informal survey last year. Same 4 people there every single day. One lady even brings her lunch, eats it outside, smokes her cigarette & then goes back in. No bargains any more as the owner has seen the golden goose & raised prices to outrageous levels on items that are perceived to be valuable. Definitely no longer a ""thrift"" store. Most clientele speak Spanish as do all employees (suspect some illegals in there) & there are way too many non-english speaking shoppers with way too many kids, seemingly without parents. Used to go weekly; now maybe once/quarter or less. They also seem to want to appear to be a charitable organization with their Vietnam Vet collection truck in the parking lot. However, they charge CA sales tax so they're totally for profit. Also, cash only makes me wonder how much of that several million $ income is reported & taxes paid. more

9yrs...i love it! 2/7/2010

I have been shopping here since they were in the Nappa building, never disapointed, always find something, always/only buy half price items. Pros: plenty of parking, clean, organized Cons: small shopping carts, closed sundays more

Best shop for clothing 8/11/2008

There are more clothes here than nearly any other thrift store around. All clothing is organized (yay!) by style, type and color. Very clean aisleways too. Note - cash only, but there is an atm inside the building, as well as a clean public restroom. Good place to find books too. Pros: Easy parking, clean overall, lots of variety, polite employees Cons: Many shoppers have an overabundance of screaming/wandering kids. more

Really great store! 4/6/2007

I am thrift/vintage store junkie and this is one of my favorites to visit. Get there early, it can get pretty crowded! It is really clean and if you are perusing an isle it is more than likely that an employee is next to you fixing and sorting clothes on the long racks. They are really helpful and friendly. This is the place to go if you are looking for clothes! There is a large selection of handbags and bric-a-brac. All the jewelry is behind the counter and there isn't that great of a selection. There also isn't a lot of furniture. Just a whole lotta clothes. Pros: a lot of clothes- daily specials- big parking lot Cons: not open on Sundays more
