Community Services of Stark County, Inc. is a non-profit social service/mental health agency serving northeast Ohio. Our broad array of services includes counseling, adoption and parenting, a homeless shelter, emergency assistance, child and youth services, case management, and more. Our Samaritan's Table program provides a weekly hot meal for those in need. The Rape Crisis program provides information and support. Pyramid Training Services offers training for professionals and counselors.
The agency was founded in 1919 in response to children orphaned by World War II and the flu epidemic. Our Loving Choice Adoption and Parenting Services program is licensed to conduct domestic adoptions, private and international home studies, and post-placement supervision. We provide birth parent counseling and support, offering a choice of open, semi-open, or confidential adoption as well as parenting options.
