Awful company! I bought a central air conditioning unit last may (2011), it stopped working that fall. Someone came out and looked at it, said it was the furnace, charged $129 to fix it. This spring the AC stopped working completely again and was doing the same thing as before. I figured I should have comfort zone come out and fix it again since I had used them before and was happy with them. the tech was over an hour late. disconnected everything and said it was an electrical issue that will cost thousands to fix. He recommended putting a battery powered unit on my air conditioner because they are great for homes built as crappy as mine. This battery op unit he never could get me a price other than 400-1200. \r
That 15 min visit cost me $79 bucks and I still did not have air conditioning. I hired an electrician who reran all the electrical wires from the AC to the furnace which was only $75 for an hour worth of hard work, this process left 6 holes in my wall and calling but was a cheaper than 'thousands' of dollars that comfort zone was going to charge me. my AC still did not work!!! I called comfort zone back and after two weeks of phone tag with maxine and failed appointments with techs they finally came out, moved one wire and said that should do it. that 10 min appt cost another $79 dollars! \r
My Air Conditioner still does not work like it is suppose to work! I have to turn it on and off at the breaker box, there is no temperature control. The AC unit constantly runs whether the furnace/fans on or not. if I leave it on the furnace/fan eventually blows out hot air instead of cool. I bought a tacky window unit just to keep my bedroom at a decent temperature at night. its noisy and not as great as having a working AC unit.\r
This was a $2550 waste of money!!! It came with a warranty that doesn't cover anything. I asked the office what was covered and she simply said ""i don't know"". \r
For me to simply put it, just don't call Comfort Zone. It will save you time and money!
