When we lived in Alaska, we stayed at the Buskin River Inn until we got settled in. Kodiak is a small island, but this nice hotel was perfect for us. It has a wonderful dinning room that is very nice and cozy. The hotel was very nice and the people were great to be around. They have a nice view and is is very close to the airport. It is not hard to find and is only minutes away from town. PROS: great rooms at great prices! CONS: more

Restaurant by the Airport 5/17/2005

The Eagle's Nest Restaurant is located in the Buskin River Inn next to the airport. They have a bar/lounge area in addition to the restaurant. They recently changed their menu to Italian fare which is so-so but nothing compared to their old menu. I really wish they would return to their specials like their Angry Chicken Salad. It was the best salad in town. Their appetizers are still great and it is one of the nicer restaurants in Kodiak. more
