Comet Plumbing & Sewer Co. helped us out of a major plumbing nightmare in our house. After 40+ years the sewer line had all but crumbled to pieces and was damaged from the root system of the magnolia tree in our front yard. Andrew and Comet Plumbing & Sewer Co. came to the rescue and put in entire new line in just a couple days. They were prompt, courteous, well mannered, accurate in their estimates. They managed the permits and the city inspectors, let us know when service would be interrupted and made every accommodation for our napping one year old baby. I would recommend Andrew in a heartbeat. He went above the call of duty and checked the rest of the lines in the house, increased the pressure from the main and blew out a separate area that was backed up. He came in ahead of schedule and under budget. I would recommend Andrew and his team without hesitation. more

Don't forget the 10% google coupon when you get work done with this company. they will honor senior discount too. We were happy with this service, They wear boot covers in your house too which pleased me alot. more

Polite and very professional company. 5/16/2011

Found this plumber company in Sunnyvale, they specialize in sewer replacement so I went with them on my sewer pipe problems. The plumber got a Sunnyvale permit/inspection for the installation and it all ended up perfect. I can say the plumber,(Andy) who came out really was a hard working guy, showed up on time and the price was right. more

Outstanding service. 4/26/2011

This company was recommended to me, so they came out to do a camera inspection of my main sewer drain. My wife and I were surprised to find out that tree roots had entered the pipe under the front garden and caused a blockage. The technician re-routed my sewer drain. I am happy that no more problems exist down there. We will surely call them again. more

Saved me from a scam 2/21/2011

These plumbers are the second company I called out. I called another plumbing company out that I found off of craigslist. My bathtub was taking forever to drain. They told me that I would need to spend about ten thousand to replace all the pipes under my house that were leaking and very damaged. I only wanted to get a second estimate so I called Comet Plumbing out. I showed the plumber that came the estimate I got from the first company. So, he said first he needed to take a look at the pipes to give me an accurate estimate. About fifteen minutes later he came back and showed me pictures from under my house. NO LEAKS ANYWHERE! He snaked my bathtub and had it draining quickly in almost no time at all. I mean, they could have been dishonest like the other guys and just scammed me, but they didn't. Now, I'm going to be calling them back to get my water pipes replaced with all copper pipes. Thanks! more

Really deserves 6 stars. 1/12/2011

Terrible situation with my sewer pipe. It was gross and I needed to have it fixed pronto. I called around trying to get estimates, some people never showed and some were obviously insane. I got a quote from a big page ad in the phone book, 19K!!! I almost had a heart attack. By a fluke, I found this company and only picked them because of the other high ratings. 5K and a free 10 year warranty. The city inspector gave his seal of approval on the workmanship and I give mine for price and service. more

Excellent service! 1/4/2011

I called Comet Plumbing for an estimate on some work in my bathroom. My general contractor advised me to call them because they are cheap. So Andy arrived and gave me a very fair price for the work required and had it done in no time. The general Contractor was pleased with the work and so was I. more

Go with this company! 12/21/2010

Andrew was a very friendly guy who came first thing the next morning when our kitchen sink got clogged the night before. His quote was very reasonable too. This service was very good, and the job finished in a very timely manner with no mess. I would recommend this company any time and would use them again for future, if needed. I noticed Andrew put on his booties before entering the house, That was very respectful. Worth their weight in gold. more

Money Saving, Honest Guys 11/26/2010

Toilets were overflowing. Terrible situation this morning, Black Friday (day after turkey day). I called out a big name company (A** S**r) and they wanted to charge me 9K. Talk about price shock. So, I came on to city search to find a good, reasonable plumber. I called Comet, got a free estimate, only 2K. They're working on the problem right now. Fast service, no price gouging, and they gave me an honest price. more

Best Pricing, Top Notch Work 11/13/2010

I needed to get a water heater replaced. So, I've been calling almost every plumber in the bay to get me a quote. Some of these jokers wanted to charge me just for asking how much this would cost. Are you kidding me? Comet had the best price, ultra low cost. Also, they did a top notch job. They were clean, tidy, and fast. I even got a free haul away. In short, the reason I've given this plumbing company 5 stars: 1- Ultra Low Price - no price scamming here 2- Fast and friendly plumbers 3- CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, there was no mess, they wore booties in my house more

very impressed! 11/9/2010

I have had plumbing problems in my house with sluggish water pressure. I called Comet Plumbing & Sewer company to take a look at the pipes under the house. Andy concluded that the pipes were very old and that for restoring the pressure i would need a copper re-pipe. I invested, paid $3000 which was worth every every dollar for this company. He did a great job and now my water pressure is normal. very good company to work with. more

Really Great Company 11/2/2010

Thanks to this company I was able to get to a really important client meeting. I had water gushing on my front garden this morning, I called Comet Plumbing and Sewer company and told them the problem. Unlike the other plumbing company I called they were very helpful and told me how to shut off the water near the hose thingy. No more water gushing Yay! but, I was dreading the estimate to fix the pipe. I was very pleased with Andy, he was quick and took only 45mins to get my water on to the house. Great plumber. Definitely deserve 5 stars. more

Best Plumber! 10/27/2010

The best plumbing service I've ever had to use. We had a plumbing issue (toilet is over flowing and spilling onto the floor, total panic moment!) I called another company and they came out to fix the problem. It was working well for a couple weeks, but this past Saturday it stopped flushing completely. I called Comet , and was surprised that they answered the phones on a Sunday. I explained the situation to the customer service lady. She said their plumber could be by in a couple minutes (?!) to fix it. I was so relieved, given that we only have one bathroom, and I didn't feel like joining the dogs outside. Andy, the plumber, was there in less than 30 minutes to assess the problem. He determined what the problem was and quickly repaired it. As he was leaving, he pointed out what the other company had done wrong and wrote up a report and said he would e-mail me photos of what was done incorrectly so I could request a refund from the other company. When I asked him how much I owed him, he replied 50$. For emergency service, helping me get my money back and for a correct repair, ONLY 50$!!! The other place that came out before and made us wait 4 hours charged us 675$. OMG, I got totally ripped off from the other company. more

Thanks Comet! 10/15/2010

Really cool plumber from Comet Plumbing & Sewer showed up in about 30 minutes, which I thought was pretty quick. We had a terrible odor in our bathroom which he examined and explained that it was coming from inside the wall. He gave me a free estimate and a very reasonable price which I liked a lot. Comet plumbing was very quick and cleaned up before he left, I would refer this company and use them again. The smell is gone, Thank God! more

Best Plumber 10/15/2010

Comet Plumbing is a rare find. I needed a plumber to do some work in Los Altos in a rental property, but I did not have the time or resources to go to digging through the yellow pages to find one. So, of course, I went to the web, Craigslist in particular, wading through a lot of ads and promo-posts that looked suspect at best and downright deceitful at worst. more
