I love this zoo. The zoo is so clean and the staff knows what they are doing. You can ask them questions about the animals and they are full of answers. They always have activities for all ages during the year great cheap entertainment. more

Nationally known zoo is fantastic for families. Admission is high, but there is lots to do. Fantastic aquarium, several rides including carousel and boat ride. Currently renovating certain areas but plenty to see. more

Wild Fun 8/8/2002

My husband and I go to the zoo at least twice a year. We go in the summer for our company picnic and again in the winter for Zoo Lights. It is always a fun time and the price is right. fun & family friendly 7/26/2002

Our family, my husband 2 boys ages 10 & 5, and I love going to the Columbus Zoo, we've gone almost every year. They always have new attractions and seem to be constantly bettering the habitats of the animals. Wonderful place for the kids to learn & play. Oh, they also have a pretty cool playground. Also very stroller and wagon friendly ;) Don't forget to visit during the holidays, the lights are spectacular, but a tad crowded. Prepare to wait in traffic a while. more

More a Habitat than a Zoo 7/23/2002

The thing I like about the Columbus Zoo is that it is not a typical zoo with animals cramped into tiny little cages or in places they are clearly not comfortable. The Columbus Zoo has more of a "habitat" atmosphere where the animals are put into familiar surroundings. more

You Don't Know Jack w/o Zoo 7/23/2002

My friends and I, all of us in college or recently graduated, appreciate the diversity of animals residing at the Columbus Zoo. Some may complain about the large areas that make it difficult to see animals and the extra walking to get to various exhibits, but these people need to remember that conservation and providing the animals with a proper sanctuary should come before exploitation just so everybody can see every animal stuffed into a tiny cage. Staff is friendly and informed; the Columbus zoo is a treasure! more
