Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) is an entire library system with over 25 branches city wide. My favorite is the main branch downtown. It is the original CML and has been added on to the structure. It is a beautiful building that is three stories full of books. It is absolutely incredible the stuff you can find in there. They also have really nice, quiet cozy study tables. I like the ones on the third floor because they overlook the downtown columbus. Its just really peaceful and nice. A great place to spend a saturday afternoon. more

Try your local library 12/15/2005

Most of the Columbus Metropolitan Library branches have a meeting room. You should be able to register for one if you purposes are not for profit. You may have to put up a deposit against damages, but I don't believe there is an actual fee for using the room. They are in separate rooms, so it's not like you are going to be interfering with the people who are in the stacks trying to read or using the PCs. Plus, you'll be in the library and get to check out the books and audiovisual collections, which are quite good. more

Love it! 9/17/2005

So many branches, so many books, so few...people. Not really. The branches are just that big! You don't run into anyone! There's space for everyone and that's a big reason I love it. There is also a tremendous variety on books and when you reserve one, you can pick it up at your nearest branch within a day or two. Stop watching TC and go to the library. IT'S FREE!!!! more

HUGE selecetion 9/15/2005

I think this library has every book ever written, and plenty of other things. I have gone there to use the die-cut machine (if you work in schools you'll know what this is) and to get books, CD, videos. It really is a great resource and the people are always very friendly and helpful. It is huge so you may need some help. They have a free parking garage which is really nice since it's hard to park anywhere downtown Columbus. more

excellent selection 8/28/2005

this library has been regarded as one of the best in the nation due to its excellent service and incredibly large selection of books. i have been able to even get books for classes at the local college. great branches. i have used many libraires in my long life and like these the best for excellent customer service and their die-hard need to get you whatever book you need. they will even look outside of their own system to get you what you need. more

Great place for the kids 8/8/2005

The downtown branch of the Columbus Library system is wonderful! There are a lot of places that I cannot take my kids, especially libraries. The downtown branch is the exception. They always have activities going on for the kids. Story time, and sing a longs, are the most popular in my house. The kids can enjoy the activities, and I can get caught up on some paperwork. more

Huge neat building 8/7/2005

This is the main downtown branch of the Columbus Library. I love the building design and it is huge on the inside. You can pretty much find any book, magazine, or media item here. They also have neat exhibits on the second floor near the movies & CDs which are constantly changing. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you need help finding an item. more

The big daddy of libraries! 7/31/2005

This is the big kahuna of the public library system. If you have some serious researching to do, this is the place for you! You could get lost in the floors of this library. Definitely a good place to relax. They have AMAING kids programs, summer reading incentives, and a BEAUTIFUL kids library area. Be sure to check out this cool location in the heart of downtown. more
