Best

The staff was friendly, the food delicious, and I will definitely be making another trip. I recommend the appetizer shrimp. They are wrapped in bacon with barbecue sauce and rice....

Worst

Not worth one star. Food was awful. Sent one steak back that was under cooked, it came back over cooked. Another steak that was 'medium' was so rare it was rubbery and raw. Scall...

Freshest seafood in town! 4/8/2006

Cameron Mitchell has great restaurants and this is a prime example. From the cocktails to the salads to the entrees, this is a five star establishment. The Ahi tuna is fresh and not at all "fishy." The Pineapple Martini is strong but smooth and very refreshing. The Banana Bread Pudding is rich and creamy. more

If you love seafood, you MUST eat here! 4/6/2006

I've never had a bad meal at (Cameron Mitchell's) Columbus Fish Market. Their fish is delivered fresh daily and displayed in a glass case. You don't smell ANY fish here, it's that fresh. The decor is elegant and the music usually consists of Sinatra tunes. Hot sourdough bread and butter are complimentary. Lunch sandwiches run around $8 or $9 and come with slaw and fries. The tuna melt is to die for. We loved it so much we asked for the recipe, not really thinking they'd give it to us. But a few minutes later, the waitress came back with a copy. more

Good food but menu is getting old 10/7/2005

We eat at The Fish Market a couple times a year. Sadly, they took my favorite meal off about a year ago. They have not updated recently, and I am finding the menu to be rather bland. The most flavorful part of the meal is always the appetizer, which makes me want more from the dinner. Our last visit we had the calamari, always good, a salad, cup of Lobster Bisque, also always good, and two entrees. The entrees were both with the "special topping" of crap crust. It was good, but flat. The sauce supposedly had a Cerache Pepper Sauce, but I tasted only butter. I hope their Winter menu adds more flare! more

Always fresh 9/28/2005

This is a wonderful restaurant located just west of downtown and close to OSU campus. I love to order a fresh catch Shanghai style. The fish is so fresh and cooked perfectly so that it just melts in your mouth. My husband doesn't like fish very much so he will order a steak. They have the same steaks as Mitchell's Steak House so they are very good too. Service is always exceptional and flawlessly professional. more

My favorite restaurant 7/29/2005

The Columbus Fish Market is my absolute favorite. I love seafood, and for anyone that hasn't ever REALLY enjoyed fresh fish, this is the place to go! I highly recommend the lobster bisque - it's rich, but so delicious! Also, the ginger-crusted salmon is always a staple for me, as well as the shanghai sampler. The presentation of the food is superb, but it doesn't try to make up for the taste - such delicate and fresh fish prepared so that your taste buds will dance! I can't say enough about this restaurant. Upper scale, so it's a bit pricey, but well worth the splurge! You can call ahead for reservations for this restaurant as well, which I HIGHLY recommend. Once again ladies, you should check out the bathrooms. The nicest bathrooms I've ever seen anywhere! more

Awesome Seafood Restaurant! 7/13/2005

Great Seafood restaurant! Great atmosphere! This place has wonderful fish, you get to choose how you want it cooked, what style of flavor, etc. The desserts are delicious and so are the appetizers. The crab cakes here are excellent! I recommend anyone who lives in the area or visits to come try this seafood restaurant. It is kind of expensive but well worth it. more

Cameron's take on Fish 7/12/2005

A Cameron Mitchell restaurant, The Columbus Fish Market is located next to another Cameron's fave...Cap City Grandview. The sculpture of a giant metal fish sets the tone for a delicious meal. Homey wooden tables and wrapped halves of lemom make you feel like you're in a fancy seafood dive. The food is amazing--gourmet level, and there is an extensive wine and dessert menu. Check out the shark-fin pie! Bring 4 people to share it though! The amazing thing about Cameron Mitchell's seafood is that it is guaranteed to be no less than 24 hours old. And I guarantee you'll love it! more
