Ring your bells 4/13/2006

The Columbus Clippers games are a part of my childhood and I would recommend to other families. Reasonably priced tickets, which can usually be found given out as some type of promotion, cheap food and freebies for children are highlights of the games. The team is just so-so, but the fans can certainly become involved and remember, ring your bells. more

a great time for the money 3/29/2006

Memories! I've attended enough Columbus Clippers games to build up a store of those... Dime-a-Dog night... getting pooped on by birds escaping the approaching bad weather... the Billy Graham Crusade on the grounds... the COWBELLS! When we moved to New York, I was astounded to see the Clippers on TV. I, being ignorant of the inner workings of baseball, did not know that they were a Yankees farm team. And New York is all about the Yankees. Go METS!!! (Just kidding... my husband informs me I am a Cincinnati Reds fan and always will be.) http://www.clippersbaseball.com/ more

The Clippers, Columbus's Hometown Heroes 12/19/2005

I worked for a summer at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, selling tickets for the Columbus Clippers. What a great summer job. I got to hang out at the stadium and watch games and see the team practice. They are the AAA afiliate of the Yankees, so some pretty good players have gone through there--Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, and Jorge Posada are all players I've seen in Clipper uniforms, while Andruw Jones, Livan Hernandez and Woody Williams are some of the major league players I've seen on visiting teams. The tickets are cheap and the atmosphere is fun. more

Affordable 11/18/2005

A great place for family with children. You can watch a minor league team play baseball. They almost become a part of your family when you're there. It's really nice when they do "dime a dog" night. All the hot dogs you can eat for 10 cents a piece. more

inexpensive evening 9/22/2005

This is a fun evening of baseball without all the extra cost. If you like baseball you should definitely go and root for Columbus's team. They are a farm team for the Yankee's so one day one of these guys might be playing for New York, root for them while they are here! more

Fun time at a reasonable price 8/21/2005

The Columbus Clippers are the AAA team for the New York Yankees. When I first moved to Ohio from CT., I was thrilled to find out I could still keep up with the Yankees via their farm team. It's a lot of fun to see the players of tomorrow earn a chance at the big leagues. Going to see the Clippers is a very economical event. General admission is very affordable, as are concessions. Don't forget to bring your cowbell! more
