The staff at Columbia worked hard to solve my dog's seemingly mysterious illness. When it became obvious it required a specialist they wasted no time referring me to one and arranging the appointment. Even after we started seeing the specialist, they continued to follow up and were available for any questions I had. more

I have the agree with all the other reviews. My 10 yr. old yellow lab tore his ACL in Dec. 2005. They had a specialist (Dr. Everett, Gig Harbor) come in and do the surgery. It was a very traumatic experience. It's now been over and year and you would never know my lab ever at surgery - no problems whatsover! I always feel they spend enough time with me and my animals and their vet techs are terrific, especially Jeff. more

My pets have been clients at Columbia Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. I currently have 6 dogs and I will NEVER take them anywhere else for veterinary care. In the past 20 years, some of my dogs have had some extremely complex pet health issues and the staff and veterinarians at Columbia Vet have been a wealth of information. They are compassionate and caring, have a phenomenal network of specialists that they refer to, and I can't say enough about the professional care my dogs receive. In the past 3 months, just ONE of my dogs has had care with a neurosurgeon, interventional radiologist, general surgeon, and an acupuncturist - all recommended by my wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Virginia Wright. Her skill, combined with the specialists she referred me to, brought my 9-year old Lab/Great Dane through a very difficult health issue. If you have the opportunity to use the services of Columbia Veterinary Hospital, you will never go anywhere else for veterinary care. more

I recently had my first experience with Columbia. I was pleased to see female vets. Although I have had good experiences with male vets, the ladies seem to have a bit more gentle touch with small animals. I will be taking my dog back next week for more work, and feel confident letting them work on him while he is asleep. If my dog is not comfortable, I am not comfortable with those caring for him. He appears to trust them, and that's good enough for me. more

I do in home pet sitting from Tacoma to Lakewood. Many of my clients go to Columbia Vets and they are extremely happy with the care they have received. I haven't heard anything negative about the clinic and have considered changing to it for my own pets care. more

We have two cocker spaniels -- which means we go to the vet A LOT. Columbia Veterinary Hospital has a terrific all-female staff that provides expert care to all types of small animals. I appreciate that the vets here offer options for care and work to educate owners so we can make the right choice for our situation. The staff has a good relationship with specialists who are available for consultations or special surgeries. Everyone here treats my dogs with respect and affection -- that means a lot. more

We've been looking for a new vet for a while, having not been completely happy with our previous vet, and got a recommendation to come here, and its been like night and day. The staff is highly competent, courteous, and they truly care about the animals. The vet we worked with was super nice, and our cat came away well treated. I was pleased that she followed the philosophy of not overmedicating for a problem, and was even more pleased to hear that they will do house calls, seeing as one of our cats is very uncomfortable with vet trips. I recommend Columbia w/o reservation. more

A friend recommended me the Columbia Veterinary Hospital . I took my dog there and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was really friendly and so great with my dog and really seemed to know what they were doing. They were able to handle my difficult dog without any problems and treat him quickly. The prices are good too, cheaper than a lot of other places.I will continue to take me dog there. more
