Founded in 1966 and located in Columbia, Tenn., Columbia State Community College offers wide range of educational programs and learning opportunities to the students in the state. The college enrolls more than 6,000 credit students and over 2,000 noncredit students. It offers various degree and certificate courses categorized in different academic departments, including business and technology, cooperative education, developmental studies, health sciences, humanities, science and mathematics, and social science and education. Its division of health sciences provides programs in health care careers, such as emergency medical technology, nursing, radiologic and veterinary technology, and respiratory care. Columbia State Community College is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college also provides student services, including residential facilities, Advising Center, Disability Services, counseling, outdoors program and recreational athletics program, health and food services, career services, and spiritual programs to its students.
