Just interested in finding information on some of the ten hangouts in Columbia during the 60's. There was Benny's at 3rd and walnut, at the bottom of locust was Abe's and Zangaris and Joe's Steak Shop. Any one remeber these places? And then across the river in Wrightsville was Strappys more

Awesome Drive-In 8/30/2005

This is was one of the last drive-in theaters that can be found. I remember as a child how exciting it was to load up the car with all sorts of treats (there is a refreshment stand on the premises) and head off to watch a double feature. This theater can accommodate hundreds of vehicles and the price per person is very reasonable. They also play a wide selection of movies and most are new releases. more

Nice and Convenient 8/7/2005

The Columbia Drive-In is a nice drive in movie theater and easily enjoyable. It offers two movies per night and the cost is very low per car. They have a nice set up where the trucks go to the back and the cars go to the front so that everyone can see. The also have a snack bar in the back and restrooms just in case. It is also east to find on Columbia Ave. more
