NEVER EVER EVER USE HER!!! Crooked, rip-off, inexperienced... If you are looking for a custody evaluator, do yourself a HUGE favor and look elsewhere! If she is recommended by an adversary.. SERIOUSLY argue it! Do your research and get her thrown off immediately! This woman has charged our family in excess of $12,000 in less than 6 mos time! She is extremely biased, is easily manipulated and is more concerned with showing loyalty to the favored attorneys client than with the well being of a child! She had a legal obligation to turn our case away for conflict of interest since day one but never did so! She is corrupt and has a history of corruption!!! She completely ignored warning signs of an abusive parent.. Ignored pictures, audio, text messages, police, Dr and DYFS reports!.. Not only ignored but gave the parent supporting notations whenever she could, even in the face of extreme mental abuse and child neglect! She endorsed the alienation of the unfavored parent and intentionally left out crucial supporting evidence of the favored parties abuse of both the other parent and child in her final report! She disclosed private details of the case to a third party (collateral witness)!!! Told our treating therapist who worked with us for over a year that she ""didn't know"" her patients after having met us a single time, right before abruptly hanging up on her! She does not even have the proper training or experience to perform custody evaluations according to her C.V! This woman did everything in her power to keep us from obtaining our own treatment files and final report! She wants an additional $2000.00 BEFORE she will release our file and completely ignored a subpoena that demanded it for over 4 months! She has charged us for her ridiculously long winded correspondences to and from attorneys in our case, along with copying fees that are HIPPA code violations! Every which way we have turned since the beginning of dealing with this woman has been an AWFUL experience!!! Meanwhile our child is still caught in the middle of a war zone and we are unable to get him the proper help, directly in part, because of her! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

If you are dealing with a court custody case, I would NOT hire her!! She easily believes into lies and being a mother herself has NO feeling towards a mother bond with a child..I am also dealing with a abusive man that she feels is OK for him to have my child! She is defiantly one sided..! Think twice before you use her... NoT HapPy more

Ms. Colton interviewed me for a child custody case in which one spouse had been consistantly bullied, undermined and isolated and over a period of ten years. Ms. Colton encouraged this behavior and ignored the many warning signs exhibited by the abusive party including: violent oubursts, isolation from family, and disturbingly controlling behavior. By doing so, she has placed an innocent child in harms way. I have no doubt that the abusive party will now turn this behavior on the child to punish the mother. Some of the glaringly obvious signs she was willing to overlook were: stalking, obsessive texting (30 or more times a day). behavior, blocking therapy for the child. He has now been validated in his efforts to coach the child to parrot his desires as his own. Not to mention his constant efforts intrude upon the other parent's time. This woman bears no concern for sentencing this child to what is most certainly going to be a very difficult life. SHAME ON HER. I will call her the first time he goes to the emergency room. Don't choose her. more
