i got a haircut and highlight. it was so good. i had no idea what i wanted, but knew i needed a change. i left it in the hands of my stylist - eek. it came out better then i ever could have imagined. i lost a few inches of length and got a whole new color. i love it. i've never gotten so many compliments on my hair before! i highly recommend this salon - especially if you are looking for a change. more

I have been in Cleveland for 7 years now and I have FINALLY found a salon that can do the bold exciting color I am looking for! I have tried 5 different salons, giving each a couple of tries to get it right, but no one could really put the ""wow"" factor into my hair. I wanted bright, bold red color with hidden chunky blonde highlights, and in every other salon I still walked out looking like your average joe. This time I walked out with EXACTLY what I wanted thanks to Liam! He was friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and created the best hair color style I have ever had! I am so excited that I finally have a location and stylist I can trust to take my hair to the next level! more

I went in there wanting my light blonde hair turned closer to my natural hair color (dark blonde/light brown) and my hair was turned RED and GRAY! Then when I asked it be fixed, I was given a snotty/rude repsonse from the receptionist and told they would be able to take me back in 4 DAYS! Of course this was not acceptable so I had to go to Dino Palmieri in Great Northern Mall the following day to get it fixed. Holly at Dino Palmieri did a great job fixing the red and gray hair and she also fixed my botched Color Nation haircut as well. It cost me over $100 to be treated rudely and have my hair ruined at Color Nation, thanks. more

I was thoroughly disappointed by my haircuts here. I've tried 3 different hairstylists. All of them have given me a good haircut, but when I went back to them again, I got a terrible cut that is hard to grow out. My last experience, I had an uneven haircut and called in to get it fixed. It is even WORSE! now. Still uneven, and the stylist chopped out a chunk of hair right in the back-it looks awful. I was trying to grow out my hair but now I am right back to square one. My hair once took 10 minutes to style in the morning now it takes over a half hour because I have to hide everything. I still have a $40 gift certificate left but I am going to take the loss and never go back. I am so frustrated every morning trying to dry/style my hair, makes me want to cry. The owner needs to hire better stylists, especially for the prices they charge. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Pros: Friendly Cons: Inexperienced stylists, cliquey, wait time more

I made the huge mistake of coloring my own hair for a long time, and it constantly took on a reddish color and I was starting to hate it. After trying numerous colorists and salons I decided to try Color Nation and I am OH SO HAPPY!!!! Janine was my stylist and I was totally honest with her about how picky I am about my hair and how I wanted to go back to being a brunette with highlights and she assured me she could do it--And she DID! My hair is amazing! Healthy, shiny, and the perfect blend of brunette and blonde. On top of that, I only went in for a color and she wound up having time to give me a fabulous cut as well.\r \r I cannot say enough good things about Janine. I actually wanted to hug her! more

I am one who continuously is unhappy with my hair. Simply put, I am very PICKY about my hair and don't understand why it is so hard to find a good hairstylist in Ohio!!!! Anyway, I was excited to try Color Nation because of the reviews I had read online. I was hoping to find ""The One."" I brought pictures with me to help aid the stylist in what type of haircut and highlight I was going for. I felt like I had done my homework and thought I had a good consultation. Sadly, I did not get the desired results I had hoped for from that stylist.\r Atmosphere: Very friendly and relaxed\r Front Desk: Very accommodating and professional\r Product line: Of quality and reasonably priced\r Training: My stylist would benefit from more training/experience but I did see quality work from a few of the stylists\r Overall: My search for a stylist continues. Even though named Color Nation is should be called Cut Nation. As the other review on the website - I had asked for a trim and got hacked. Also I have received color services with no positive results. I am a picky blonde and this salon was not able to satisfy. The customer service is great but you feel like you are walking into a high school clique. Pros: Staff will greet you Cons: Stylists need more training. more

Color Nation is the greatest hair salon?and definitely appropriately named! I went there for the first time no a busy Saturday morning. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and taken to the ?smock room? to put on a color smock. I came early to check the place out and was pleasantly surprised. I sat on the couch (red velvet couch!) and watched all the happy people walking around with foils on their head, preparing for a skincare service or getting their nails done. It was almost as if everyone knew each other in this salon - everyone was so friendly and talking! Right on time I was taken back to the ?color area? for my appointment. I soon became one of the many hanging out with foils on their head. During my process time I got to catch up on all the gossip magazine reading I didn?t have time for during the week. Before I knew it, I was getting shampooed. And believe me that was a whole experience in itself! I had the best scalp massage ever - I really could have just sat there all day and gotten my head massaged. Next I got just a little trim (trying to grow). Once the drying began, I started to see all the color that was put through my hair starting to appear. When I first walked in, I was a plain chocolate haired girl and I left with carmel/golden dimension highlights that suited my skin tone and my face perfectly. I love Color Nation and just can?t stop gushing about my experience. Pros: Atmosphere is Amazing!!! more

Went to Color Nation for a haircut, pedicure, and manicure. I am still paying the price for the haircut 2 months later. I was 9 months pregnant and had one simple request---I need to be able to pull my hair back. No such luck---the layers that were cut into my hair are still so short that they cannot be pulled back. It is very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!! The manicure I received that day was horrible, there was more paint on my fingers than my nails. As for the pedicure I couldn't really see my toes but know that I was charged for a spa pedicure and that was not what I got. I will say that they were quick to resolve that situation because I had to go back the next day as part of a wedding party. This left me feeling like I could not complain about the services I had gotten. The next day seemed to be going better, the woman who did my hair was wonderful but then it came time for make-up. I waited and waited---I was finally taken after everyone in my party was completely done (including the bride). When I mentioned this I was pretty much told that is just the way things are. I thought ""WOW"" if you want to retain customers maybe you should reevaluate your attitude towards them. Needless to say I will not be returning there and would make a recommendation to you to try any of the other salons in that area. Although the prices at Color Nation are competitive with other salons in the area the services are not!!! more
