Dougan Lane Rossi 7/12/2007

Dougan Lane was born in at Colonial Animal Hospital on 3/6/1990. His care was continued at Colonial Animal Hospital by James Weege, DVM throughout the years. Later by Dr. Martin and Dr. Weege. Dougan continued to receive excellent care and alot of love. Throughout his life he was treated for routine checkups, and life threatening illnesses. His care was always excellent and loving. I had to put Dougan down on July 11, 2007 at the ripe old age of 17 years old. I do know for a fact that if he had any other veterinary care Dougan would have passed away several years ago. There is no better care for your pets than at Colonial Animal Hospital. I am just sorry that I relocated to another area and that Dr. Weege and Dr. Martin were not able to say goodbye to my beloved pet. All my love to both of you and thank you for everything through the years Marge Rossi more

Overprice and Underservice 12/30/2005

My older dog saw both of the principal vets at this animal hospital, on the recommendation of a former staff member. What a waste of money. The exam was strictly "drive by" Never looked at critical parts of the animal. Color me picky, but it seems like listening to the animal's heart, lungs, looking in it's eyes to see if it's bright and attentive might be part of an exam. So is asking the owner questions about the animal's history. The exam was one of the most superficial I've ever seen in over 20 years of owning pets. Both seemed more interested in collecting tests and running up a bill than genuinely interested in the dog. In fact, they seemed to write him off, just because he is older. A complaint to one of the partners elicited an offer to do another exam for free. Which, he reneged on and we were charged $35 because he "took longer than expected." This for just another "fly by." All in all, expensive and not worth it. Never got the feeling there was genuine caring there. At least not for our baby! more
