I shop both at the West Hollywood, and the Silverlake locations. They have a great variety. The customer service has always been good. I like the fact that whenever we need to pick up props, treats, or toys for our pet photo shoots, they are close by, and are always expanding their selection. more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a pet store, and will never shop at Collar & Leash Pet Food & Supplies again! I used to buy 2 bags of Innova for my dog every month. I used to get 3 Flossies a week for my dog every week. But after the experience I just had, I will never shop in there again. I bought some bully sticks from there and when I got home, I noticed there were bugs in them. How could I even give that to my dog? How disgusting! When I went back to the store, the young gentlemen acknowledged that they have a bug problem. He said ""Yeah, I cleaned out all the bugs this week."" Sick!!! Then the girl working the register had the nerve to jump in and say ""The bugs won't harm your dog."" That's just disgusting! She obviously doesn't care about pets, to let a pet eat something infested with bugs/larvae!!! As I was in line, the young guy decided to help a women (in short shorts) instead of the next customer in line. I was appalled, and couldn't believe how homophobic he was that he couldn't help me because I was a man. He obviously wanted to flirt with the women instead. Come on now Ivan! Come on now Collar & Leash! Shame on you!!! Shame on you for being homophobic in West Hollywood! Shave on you for letting a bug infestation happen in your store. I'm going to do my best to get someone out there to inspect your store! It obviously isn't up to code! At least not by West Hollywood standards! I spend over $400 a year there between dog food, snacks, collars, pet supplies. I'll spend no more there. There are so many other new and CLEAN stores to shop in...that treat their customers equally and with respect!!! more

When you buy 40 pound bags of dog food, why wouldn't the staff offer to get it off the rack, bring it to the counter and perhaps even help you with it to the car. Not everyone is 25 and buff that patronizes this place. The staff is not rude, just sullen, disinterested and without any interest in Customer Service. Their location is first rate. How about giving customers who are obviously north of 60 a little help. I just came back from Nashville and visited a friend who works in a pet store there. They open the door, take the product to the car and when it rains they come with an umbrella. That's what businesses do when they need customers.That's all a bit over the top but these people in Collar and Leash are probably underpaid and have no incentive to wait on customers. In a state with 12% unemployment, you should be able to find people with a little more life in them. Pros: lots of merchandise Cons: sullen work staff more

i have used this pet store for a fair few years and loved it then after spending a huge amount in setting up for new puppy and harness broke after a week. took it back and met with an accusation that dog chewed it and no way could i get my money back or a replacement. this was of course incorrect and i disliked the way i was treated and how they did not care about my customer loyalty. i hve obviously not returned since then due to the way i was treated Pros: fair selection Cons: awful customer service more

I never write reviews, but this place is great, and i couldn't help but notice that it had a negative review; so I thought I would throw in my two cents and let you know that going to Collar and Leash has been anything BUT a negative experience. The prices are competitive and the selection of natural food, toys and supplies is fantastic. Location is central, there is a parking lot for the store and if you need help, the people working at the store are knowledgeable and happy to help, if you need it. Pros: Great location, open every day, parking lot in W. Hollywood Cons: If you like to be greeted at the door by the personnel, this usually won't happen, but they will help you if you ask. more

First time i came here i thought the place was closed. It really looks like hell from the outside. The clerks are sleepy and leave you alone, but if you need something they are OK. the place is packed with merchandise, and they've got it all. More toys and food selections then you find in other small stores, and prices are competitive. Location is good too, they have lots of parking right by their door, and very central to west hollywood. more

All the local people in West Hollywood shop here --its a mainstay for many years and there is a reason why a local shop like this sticks around when giant pet food super stores are popping up all over. Whoever wrote that bad review previously has got to be working for the competition because that review couldn't be farther from the truth. The people are knowledgeable and helpful and never push you to buy stuff. The selection is great. I go out of my way to shop there knowing what I can expect in hospitality, economy and conscientiousness. They carry the best in all premium foods and products and they are as nice as can be. more
