I spent almost $7000 on a 2 month house rental in Cape Coral. Thinking Coldwell Banker was a reputable company, I trusted them to be honest in describing the rental. Wrong!!! Linda, the property rental manager and her inept assistant, Carol left out numerous "little details" about this house. Like it had not been rented nor lived in execpt for 2-3 weeks in almost 3 years. Very poorly maintained. The master shower floor was filthy, the shower drain had an odor that we couldn't kill. The toilets frequently backed up (no plunger supplied until I bought one). The lighting over the master sink exploded, showering the floor with tiny glass particles (they never came to fix it). The blinds in the spare bedroom would not close so you couldn't block out the sun or change at night in that room. The blinds in the main living area (across 15 feet of glass doors that were dirty until I cleaned them) did not close either. At night we watched TV with no privacy at all. If you closed the hurricane shutters for privacy, you were exposed to black mold. The landscaping had not had a clean up in months. The garden areas around the house and about the property were terrible. The outside water fountain was geen with algae as was a small back pond. The gas grille was loaded with some green/black goop and had not been cleaned in who knows when. Of course, no gilling tools or cleaning brush until I bought them. The kitchen had no waste basket, no paper towel holder, no can opener (I had to purchase my own) and the water/ice dispenser to the fridge had never been turned on. There were no instructions on how to operate or maintain anything in the house. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!
