Amidst a barren sea of sports bars and hole-in-the-walls, Colburns shines like a ruddy gem. Well, actually, no it doesn't. There's not much that differentiates the place from other strip-mall bars - there's not much of a beer selection, the light is a bit greasy on the painted cement floors and there's a Big Buck Hunter game against the back wall. But the drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is relaxed and the proprietor and his staff are as friendly as you could wish. To put it lightly, it's one hell of a neighborhood bar for those of us lucky enough to live within spitting distance. They do fantastic drink specials, there's karaoke and a shuffle-board table. What more could you ask for?
Pros: cheap drinks, friendly staff, low-key atmosphere
Cons: karaoke nights can be a bit ear-splitting
