I hope the owner operates the business better than she acts. 6/14/2011

I am a firm believer that the way a person expresses them and interacts on a “personal level” transcends to their “professional” behavior rather it be in Public Office or as a Business Owner. I also believe that employees are a reflection of their employer. \r \r Based on the above beliefs, I would not patronage Cohen’s Knishes in Lakeside, nor would I recommend any consumer to.\r \r Prior to this incident that I am sharing, I had never heard of a Knish. I do not know what a Knish is and now have a have a desire to try something new to expand my culinary experience, but unfortunately will not be able to based on an interaction I had with an employee, possibly the owner.\r \r Yesterday 6/13/2011, I experienced a parking lot incident with an automobile driven by a Cohen’s Knish employee. Although the driver was exceeding the state speed limit for parking lots, fortunately no bodily injury or property damage resulted from a near run-in. Additionally, during this near collision, the driver had the audacity to gesture toward me and appeared to be yelling.\r \r After the incident, I did leave a message and received a return phone call within 24 hours (the only professional act thus far). However, the conversation was not pleasant. Upon explaining the incident as I experienced it, the owner became defensive, rude, loud and indignant. She had indicated that she immediately spoke to the driver after receiving my call on Monday and the driver denied the incident and placed blame on me. When I further pressed the issue with her employee the story suddenly changed to she was in fact the driver. So compiling to the degenerate behavior in the parking lot is the act of fabrication – an untruth – a lie. Not an ideal way to conduct a business.\r \r I found the owner rude, abrasive and untruthful. Not the ideal way to conduct yourself as a Business Operator let alone an individual. Based on the behavior of the owner/representative, I will not have the pleasure of tasting my first knish nor would I recommend the patronage of this business.\r more
