I have never been as humiliated as I had been in 71. Street Cohen's today. This is the first time I am writing a review for my entire life! I am 40 and about a year ago I started feeling not secure while driving. After a while I thought, it could be related to vision problem. I decided to have my eyes checked and went Cohen's. During the exam I clearly told the ophthalmologists my problem was mostly when I drive and I drive 60 - 80 miles per day. In that case it would be better for me to be safe than sorry. He actually agreed with me for %100. I found out today why he was very concern about my safety $$$$ After 8 months feeling dizzy for every single time when I put on my glasses I happen to mention it to one of my friend. She said getting use to wearing glasses shouldn't take such a long time. Since I did not have wearing I glass history and after the exam ophthalmologists told me getting use to wearing them would take time never thought reason could be a poor exam. I went to another optical store and told them my story and ask for an exam. They suggested me to go back to where I got my first exam then they would be able to help me. I thought that it would be a better idea since Cohen's has my records and they were the once I bought my glasses. Today finally I made my afternoon available to go and get this problem solved. When I walked in the store I saw the guy who gave me the exam. I briefly told him why I was back. He said they can do another exam. After waiting 2 hours an ophthalmologists other than the first one checked my eyes. He said the first exam was not done correctly and glasses not proper for me, that makes me dizzy. In that case my expectation was them to correct their mistake. When I was waiting for an apology, owner also the same person who made me suffer for months because of his poor exam and wrong diagnosis, he asked me to pay for changing the lens. First I thought he was joking me. I said ""You should be responsible for your own mistake"". That is when he turn to a mean, rude monster. He started being very nasty. My intention wasn't get free service or take an advantage, I had to go back because of discomfort. After finding out it was their fault, I decided not to pay them for correcting their own mistake. He did not let me explain that his mistake cost me time, hassle, discomfort and most importantly chance of having an accident. He start yelling at me in front of other customers and his employees. He was mean enough to yell saying ""You are 40 years old, don't be so sure it's our fault?"". When he saw he had to change the lens for free of charge or I would take it to next step he said to his employee ""Change it then she can get the hell out of here"". He couldn't help him self to stop being mean to me, kept going and going, yelling with his very much raised voice which I won't be able to write his every word he spent. It was such a humiliating position. I will make a complaint about them to better business bureau. I hate that I gave them $350.00 business but they were nice enough at my first visit to get my money. I don't want anyone else have such a bad experience. For fixing his own mistake free of charge, he thought he can treat me like crap. He should have known better that he was not doing me a favor, nor right to insult me what so ever. I will take this to next step for sure.
