My beau and I drink our Sunday coffee here, every week. It's simply the best. I'm not sure how they can make such a superior cup of coffee, but they do. Consistently. The pastries in the past were wonderful -- not so much, now. They used to have the best ever scones and muffins, but they then contracted out and now the items are brought into the bakery case, and are grossly inferior to the ethereal crumbly scones of yore. Now, they are dry and tasteless. That doesn't affect our desire to go, however, because we can't get a better cup of coffee. We DRIVE here from downtown, bypassing dozens of other coffee spots, to have this cup.
We do wish the blank-faced girl behind the counter would wash her hair more often, and then comb it. She's always a hot mess and you kinda don't want her serving your food when she looks like she just rolled out of bed after an all-nighter.
Pros: Wonderful coffee; colorful outsider art displays
Cons: Spotty pastry quality; disinterested youth occasionally behind the register
