I have been going here for 10 years and just love the friendly, neighborly women who are the stylists. Vicki, the owner, is a delight. Sally, the very talented hair stylist with whom I make my appointments, is so good at what she does. I don't even need to tell her anymore what I want. And she is like that with all her clientele. Betty has stepped in and cut my hair when Sally was out, and she is very conscientious. The best part of all is that it is in Swarthmore, where I live, and whenever I go to get my hair cut, it is a continuation of my wonderful neighborhood. They are the friendliest people around! more

Awful 4/21/2009

I would never go back to this place.I found it dirty and uncomfortable.The people that work there weren't polite at all.I don't know how you can run a salon like that.Hair in the wax! Yuck!!!!!!!!Gross!!Go somewhere else please. more

The Co-Ed Beauty Salon is a good place to get your hair cut when you have a general idea of what you want, but need some extra advice. The stylists are always ready to share their opinions about what would look best on you and will not let you get away with a cut that they think is unflattering. I enjoy the discussions I have had there and am always happy with the results. more

Ask for Betty 8/21/2005

I get my hair cut very short. The thing about getting your hair cut very short, is that every inch makes a big difference. I went to Betty at the Coed Beauty Salon and showed her a picture of what I wanted. The first thing she said was "your hair is to curly for that". Honesty, how refreshing. Then she cut all my hair to the length SHE thought I should have. When I wanted it shorter, she cut it ALL AGAIN. This is a great salon. more
