At first glance the large room was almost uninviting, but there were 14 of us, and after a nice ride up from Vallejo, we found the staff friendly, the wait for the food was reasonable and the the result was very satisfying! Great food, and plenty of it! We're coming back with 500 or so of our friends... Pros: friendly staff, uncrowded, home-style! Cons: only one large-screen, no dancing grrls more

My wife and I recently were in Winters and thought we'd check out Cody's, an odd cavernous room with a walk-in soda cooler and lots of local color. Our food was delicious deli fare -- mesquite-roasted sandwiches are great -- but we had to wait a half an hour and met with surly service when we inquired (politely) about our food when numerous parties of locals who knew the counter folks had already been served, ate and left. A shame -- the place could probably make more money if only they were kinder to out-of-town visitors, or at least made them feel more accomodated. Pros: Great sandwiches Cons: No Ambiance, Inefficient kitchen, Rude service more
