High quality care to brag about without breaking the bank! 4/24/2009

I am a long-term client of Aljae. She is super-talented and provides great individualized treatment for your hair. Her colleagues are truly topnotch! I have had massages by Tamiko, and she is sensitive, skillful and very well-schooled in her practice. The vibe here is relaxed and down-to-earth. You really can't go wrong. Pros: Great staff and loyal clientele make it very comfortable. Cons: People "borrow" Vanity Fair!!! more

Excellent, Low-key, & Affordable 4/22/2009

Small & no-frills, with very personalized & attentive service ( ie, the stylists actually pay attention to YOUR needs). No pressure to keep up a stream of gossip, either. I hear the massages are great, too. Pros: Just about everything, but especially Al-Jae for color Cons: Freezing bathroom more

The best haircut I've ever had 4/22/2009

I've been getting my haircut by LJ for years now. I can honestly say I've never had a better haircut, in New York or elsewhere. She takes her time and pays attention to the little details and the nuances of the shape of the cut. I've recommended her to many friends and co-workers, and everyone has had a great experience. Even strangers often ask me where I get my hair cut, and I'm always more than happy to send them to Cocoro! Pros: attention to detail more

getting my highlights done here on a regular basis is the best money i spend. so much attention, care and time are put towards making my hair look fabulous. i always have complete trust in the staff and never walk away unhappy! Pros: the staff is very friendly and accommodating Cons: none more

Best place for highlights in NYC! 4/16/2009

Cocoro is the cutest salon in NYC and the hair highlights are the best! The stylists there are SO friendly and sweet - they pay particular attention to detail so that I always walk out of the salon overly satisfied with my hair!! I've been going to the same stylist for years and she is the best! I would highly recommend going to Cocoro. Pros: Incredible hair highlights, super friendly stylists! Cons: No drawbacks more
