Don't be fooled 12/20/2010

This restaurant is deceiving. It has a decent location and view, it looks nice from a distance, but everything from the staff that answer phones to the manager, Mario Fernandez, should not be in the service business. The food was equivical, the place was overbooked, the bartender undertrained, and the everything was overpriced. Would not go back. more

Coco Palm Restaurant Sucks!!!! 8/30/2010

Bad service, Rude and Disrespectful Hostess. The food was tasty, but the service was so poor that I wish I would have gone to Del Taco!!!!! At least they ask you ten times if you want ""hot or mild sauce."" I was one of a group of about 35 people who were willing to pay for their Sunday Brunch during these economic times. Instead of being treated like a welcomed customer, we were all treated with disdain. Please see my blog about the experience at: cocopalmsucks.blogspot. com more

Coco Palm Restaurant Sucks!!!! 8/30/2010

Briefly, the Coco Palm Restaurant located in Pomona California is horrible. Unfortunately I was introduced to the restaurant today, August 29, 2010. The occasion was the last leg of the Ganesha High School 2010 Reunion Weekend. It was supposed to be a very festive event with old, and new, friends sharing stories, laughing, taking photos, and enjoying a good meal at a wonderful Restaurant. The event had all of the ingredients except the latter. The staff at the Coco Palm a Cuban and Spanish Cuisine were amazingly unaccommodating. In fact, they all but said that the 30+ people who showed to spend $26.99 per person for their Brunch were not welcome. Please see more at my blog: cocopalmsucks.blogspot dot com more

Great place for Sunday Brunch 7/20/2009

Good eats for Sunday Brunch. Went there with family and had a wonderful time. The staff was nice and the food really good but the price was over $25 per person...still worth it. They served the all american breakfast dishes and some with cuban flavors. I really enjoyed the beans and rice dish. more

Great band, great atmosphere, great location 11/21/2008

I've been to the restaurant before but this was the first time going to the nightclub. The cover charge is $10 which is pretty reasonable. If you get there early enough, they have free salsa classes between 9pm and 10pm. What's great is that there are tables surrounding the dance floor so you can take a break from the dancing. We arrived early enough for a table but a little late for the free dancing as the dance floor was already packed. You can order appetizers while you are there. We ordered the sampler platter and the chicken quesadilla and both plates were delicious. The drinks are somewhat high, but aren't they everywhere. We ordered Mojitos for $10, but they were very good. We liked the croud as well. You had a little bit of everything and every age. There were some people in jeans with nice shirts/blouses, but you also had people dressed in suits and dresses. we will definitely be coming back. Pros: Great band, free salsa dancing lessons, great appetizers Cons: Parking gets packed more

Best place to hold your party or event, local to the I.E. and L.A.!!! 3/7/2008

This place is so georgeous. There are many breathtaking views of the entire city since they are found on a hilltop near the Fairplex. I have eaten here a few times and always love the food and service, so I decided to have my Dad's 50th Birthday bash there but was worried since we were late booking the room. To my surprise, they were able to accomodate me at the last minute and were very flexible with the special requests I made. This is by far the best venue to host your event! And the price you pay is so affordable for the ambiance and special service you get in return. I would refer anyone that wants to have the perfect party to call Sean or Veronica! Pros: The delicious food and beautiful facility Cons: none (if you could find any, you are WAAAY too picky) more

Dine-in Only!! 5/15/2007

We went here last May 2006 for my sister's bday. Very nice view and good service..and I love their Paella..so recently I ordered Paella for pick up...not as good as their Dine -in..it's 1/4 the size of the dine-in..but charge you the same price...so if you want some cuban food...might as well dress up and enjoy the view...DINE IN!!! more

This was my second visit to the Cocopalm, used to be called Copacabana. The first time the food and service was mediocre. The food and service this last visit was much improved.
