Great Caribean food 4/2/2006

The location of this restaurant isn't my favorite (Sydney Marcus and Piedmont) but the atmosphere inside is upbeat and friendly. The staff speak english and are happy to explain what something 'foreign' on the menu is. I recommend the Pollo Habenaro which is a non-spicy (who knew) lemon wine sauce chicken. It comes with your choices of side dishes but I recommend the black beans and rice and fried plaintains. YUMMY! The price is right and the food is great. more

The hidden gem of Atlanta, Coco Loco Cafe has become the place where locals and tourists alike return again and again for generous portions of fresh, authentic Cuban and Caribbean cuisine. Coco Loco is a restaurant not to be missed. Once you're hooked, you'll be glad. Delicious specialties as their authentic Sangria and Cuban sandwich; Jerk chicken sandwiches the Picadillo sandwich, similar to a Sloppy Joe, featuring seasoned ground beef on Cuban bread; Enchilado de Camarones, an entre featuring tender shrimp sauted in Cuban creole sauce. YUM! more
