Dr. Cochran is one of the WORST doctors I have ever had the misfortune of visiting.\r

I had a broken foot which was diagnosed and treated in my local ER. I went to Dr. Cochran on the basis of the ER's recommendation. \r

On my first visit I waited well over an hour to be seen by him. He then proceeded to spend about 5 minutes with me. He ignored my statements of pain in my calfs and said that it's probably just ""echo pain"" from the broken foot. He then sent me on my merry cripple way. Oh...in his rush to get me out the door, I had forgotten to ask for a handicap parking tag. I had to wait another 30 minutes for him to give that to me. \r

I then went 10 days with the pain in my calf. I decided to go to my family physician. She immediately diagnosed the pain as clots in my leg caused by the bone break. She set me up with an ultrasound that afternoon and I was in the ER by 2 pm the same day with the clot diagnosis verified. Don't you think that's something Dr Cochran should have caught?\r

THAT IS 10 DAYS OF EXTRA PAIN BECAUSE HE COULDN'T SPEND THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THE PAIN!!!\r

Well....stupid me had already set up a follow up appointment with him that I decided to keep as I'm feeling much better now and I really only expected him to take 10 minutes to look at the xray and say ""yep....healing fine."" My appointment was for 8am. I left the office at 9:45 as I STILL had not been seen.\r

The office has zero HIPAA protocols in place. While sitting in the lobby I heard about 10 peoples sensitive private information. Also, his office is dark and dreary and the office is generally poorly organized. They used the patient room I was in as a storage room. I had three nurses come in and get items while I was waiting.\r

Ultimately, I have never had such a horrible doctors visit. I would NEVER recommend Mid Michigan Ortho or Dr. Cochran to ANYONE. If I could I'd give his office negative stars.
