PLEASE HELP ME! I am facing divorce with Donald Lee Powers in the next few wweeks. When was out of work again a few months ago he tried to get us food satmps. But was told he had to put in 20 hrs of community services. To get 22 dollars if food stamps about 1.12 an hour. Now we are getting divorce and I am going to apply for SSI as I was born with a disability along with abuse injuries from the past. I wanted to apply for food stamp just to get me over this hump as its my husband who wishes the divorce and I now agrre. Did he tell me the truth about why he couldn't get them before and would I have to do community services as well. O r perhaps there is something I am not aware of he has done to cause this to happen. Please help me as I don't want to be stuck here no longer than I have to.
